Does this also support Thunderbolt 3 (over USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 (over Mini DisplayPort)?
    A shopper on Oct 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No it does not, it is not a Thunderbolt cable, nor does it advertise as one. They may look like the same plug, but they are very different cables.
Will the select series USB-C to mini displayport adapter work with a 2017 Macbook pro and an Apple Cinema Display?
    A C on Nov 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Depends on which model of an apple cinema display, if its an older one which was still DisplayPort (the one which has 3 cables: power, usb, display port) then I'd say yes, but if its one of the newer ones which are thunderbolt, then you should get one of those adapters instead
