Select Series USB-C to DVI and USB-C (F) Dual Port Adapter
The versatility of the USB-C port means that it can perform several functions, including video output and power input. But what if you need to use a second display for extended periods of time beyond what you can expect from your laptop's battery life? With the Select Series Dual Port Adapter there is no need to choose between the two! This adapter allows you to connect an external DVI display to mirror your laptop's display or expand your system's desktop area, with support for resolutions up to 1920x1080p @60Hz. It also features a USB-C port, which you can connect to your original USB-C charger, so you can charge the battery while simultaneously using a second display!
USB-C Power Port: The USB-C charging port allows you to connect your original USB-C charger, so you can charge your laptop's battery rather than draining it, while using this adapter.
Expand Your View: Connect a DVI display at resolutions up to 1920x1080p @60Hz to mirror your laptop's display or to expand your system's desktop area.
Portable: Small and portable, you can easily slip this adapter into your laptop case and have it ready for use wherever and whenever the need arises.

Questions and Answers
For reference, the USB Type C jack/plug that protrudes from the adapter (and connects to the host device) could also be referred to as a "USB Type C Male".

Cons: Requires some plugging / unplugging to get it to work; wish it came in Apple gray color.
Detail: See my HDMI adapter review where I talk about having to plug / unplug / change connection sequence to get these adapters working. Once they get going, they work great, but getting a signal out to the monitors is quite a challenge. Driving a pair of Dell DVI monitors, I have to experiment plugging in power, then the DVI adapter, in hopes of getting a signal out to the monitor. Sometimes I have to plug in the adapter first, then the power supply. I'm not connecting the power supply to the dongle, by the way... just directly to the Macbook Pro. Once I can secure a signal though, these work great. Usually takes me a few minutes of playing around with the connections to get these going.

I'm giving this four stars as I have experienced some unexplained issues with charging my Mac. I'm not sure how to re-produce this issue but occasionally I will return to my machine after leaving it plugged in for some time and notice that it is drained of battery. Upon startup the OS does not register the machine as charging (via this adapter with the USB-C charger attached). The problem is solved by removing the power cable and plugging it directly into mac for a while, and then moving it back to the adapter.
(Monoprice: If I am wrong in my understanding of how this product is intended to work with charging, please correct me and I'll revise my review.)
Recommended over Manufacturer's solution.
