BEST ANSWER: Just plug in the USB-C connector to the computer, and the monitor to the DVI port and you're all set.

Yes, I am having issues with these adapters and my 2016 MacBook Pro (13", dual TB3 bus model). After attaching, my external monitor flickers, and the redraw speed on both the external and internal displays is horribly slow. I tried both adapters I purchased, and they both malfunction the same way.
Interestingly, the USB-C to VGA adapter works perfectly (yay analog)...

The screenshot shows Apple Cinema Display. Could you confirm it works with Apple Cinema Display from MacBook Pro? None of review clarify that it worked for the monitor.

I have an old Apple 30" dual-link DVI display I was using with a 2013 MBP using Monoprice 6904 to get full resolution (using the mini Displayport connector to the old MBP). I now have a 2019 MBP with USB-C. Is this the adapter I need to get full resolution on this display? I see a similar adapter on Amazon without a USB-C input but I'm not sure it would work for full resolution because it doesn't have a separate power input.

Does this support Dual-link DVI for the Apple Cinema 30" display? I'm getting a gaming PC with a NVIDIA 3080 RTX, and I'm trying to find a way to connect my 30" Cinema display to it.
