    USB 2.0 A Female/B Female Adapter

This coupler features a female USB A type connector at one end and a female USB B type connector at the other end, allowing you to extend a pair of USB A to B cables. It is compatible with USB 2.0 and backwards compatible with USB 1.0/1.1 connections.

Note that the maximum reliable length for standard USB cables is about 15 feet. If you need to extend USB longer than that, we recommend the use of one of our Active USB Extender Cables.

    Neat Little Connector
Great little connector. I needed a couple of USB extension cables at my desktop computers. Nothing is more frustrating than to have to get down on your knees to insert a USB Memory Drive into a USB slot on the back of a desktop. Answer is a USB A Male on one end and USB A Female on the other. They sell cables like that, but I had a bunch of USB Printer cables laying around (Male A - Male B) so this adapter turned the unused printer cable into an extension cable that runs to the top of my desk. I now just reach over and plug the USB drive into the USB A Female end of the connector and I'm off to the races! Saved ordering a separate cable and throwing the printer cable into a landfill.

PROS: Handy for turning regular USB printer cables into extension cables to plug in things like USB memory sticks.

CONS: Not really any that I can think of.

Worked perfectly & it keeps some of the soon to be obsolete printer cables out of the landfill for now
Had a couple dozen Printer cables from old printers that were useless until I found these adapters.

Now, I have plenty of USB Extender cables for keyboard, mouse, printer, phone chargers, etc.

What a great way to keep these cords out of the landfills for the time being.

    What a great find.

    PROS: works great!!!

    Great gadget
This device turns a standard A-B USB cable into an extension cable! Makes much more sense to me than keeping extension cables around in case of need. Very satisfied.

    PROS: Good price, fast delivery!

    A Useful Adapter
I usually keep at least one of these in my backpack, gig bag, and/or "adapter box". Very useful for connecting a flash drive to a standard USB cable or for turning the cable into an extension cable.

    USB Adaptor
USB devices come with 4 or 5 terminations, and finding an adaptor to go between different terminations is a chore. It used to be that everything had a type A terminal, which was Female on the computer, and Male on the cord that plugged into it.
Now many devices come with cords that have a Male A on one end and a B or a mini USB on the other end.
So, if you want to run a cord from the computer to the top of your desk, and have it available to act as a conduit for several devices, you need some way to adapt the end ot the cord to whatever the new device might be. I found that my external drive had a B termination, as does my card reader, but the pocket pen drive had a different terminal.
Fortunately, Monoprice has a variety of adapters so you can interchange varioyus USB devices.
The problem is to figureout which ones you have. The nice photos in the Monoprice catalog help you figure out the correct one, and the price is so reasonable, you can afford to buy an assortment so that you are allways in control.
