Hello. Do you have an AC adapter for this PID 10933 USB 3.0 3 Port Hub?
    Kevin S on Jan 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, we currently do not sell the AC adapter for this product but it should power of the USB bus just fine. I hope this helps, thank you!

Where can I obtain Windows 10 x64 drivers?
    A shopper on Dec 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: WWindows 10 x64 automatically found and installed the drivers on my PC
Can I download the driver for PID 10933 as my laptop does not have an optical drive to play the enclosed cd?
    Steve G on Apr 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has been almost a year since I got this item, but I think I just plugged it in and Windows found the driver for it. I'm using it on a Microsoft Surface 3 tablet running Windows 10 Pro, so I don't have an optical drive either. I don't remember any problem getting it working. If you have a computer with an optical drive, you might be able to copy the driver from the cd to a USB thumb drive and install them that way.
Can we plug a switch/hub and then plug many Ethernet devices on it ?
    Christian C on Mar 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can use the switch/hub with an ethernet device. I'm using the switch/hub with a Microsoft Surface. I needed to have ethernet connection to a broadcast production device. It does exactly what I need. It created a closed network between the two devices. I also tested the switch/hub by connecting to the company's main network and it worked fine. The Surface was like any other connected device on the network. The USB ports gave me access to a wireless keyboard and mouse as well.
Will this work with the Nintendo Switch?
    Justin S on Apr 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am gonna say maybe.....lol. I am ordering one of these as well and I have a switch so I will try it out. A few notes of interest though. One Nintendo has not 'activated' USB 3 support yet on the Switch's USB3 port. That is supposed to come in a future firmware update. They also are not supporting Gigabit Ethernet yet, which is also supposed to come in a future firmware update. So while this device may work, it will likely not work at USB3/Gbit speeds. I have tried an older USB2 to 100mbit adapter that I used to use with the Wii and it did work (I think it was a rocketfish). That adapter does provide better speeds and closer to 100bmit performance on Switch where it was barely better than WiFi on the WiiU.
Is this USB to Ethernet compatible with Linux?
    A shopper on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, at the moment this item is only compatible with Windows or Mac OSX systems. You will need to go on Linux support forums and see if they have any additional drivers for this item to work under Linux. I hope this helps, thank you!
Can we plug a switch or hub to this thing and works with multiple device?
    A shopper on Mar 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you have an Ethernet switch that is connected to your network, and you plug this bad boy into that switch, whatever device you plugged this bad boy's is side into will be able to connect to your network. I have mine plugged into an Ethernet switch, and then into my Nintendo Switch and it works just fine.
Where can I get the power supply since you don't sell it?
    A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can look for any universal power supply from any local retailer or vendor online. Specs to keep in mind when looking for an adapter are 5.0 VDC, 2.5A.

Excellent complement to Macbook Pro with no ethernet port
I have a new Macbook Pro running OS X (10.10.4 Yosemite), which does not have a native ethernet port. Sometimes I want the security and speeds that can only be had over ethernet, so I purchased a similar 3 port USB/ethernet adapter on Amazon but it turned out to be unreliable on my Macbook Pro. So I returned it. When I realized that Monoprice had this 3 port USB/ethernet adapter, it was a no-brainer for me! Of course I read through the ratings, where I discovered that in order for this thing to work perfectly, you MUST download and install drivers. I thought it was very generous of some reviewers here to post the link for the drivers in their reviews, so I will do the same. you can download the Mac driver here:

I purchased it and got the quick, reliable delivery that I've grown accustomed to from Monoprice. I ripped the package open, plugged it in, downloaded and installed the driver - all within 5 minutes! It worked beautifully! I decided to use it every day for a few weeks before posting my review. The results are - This thing is SOLID AS A ROCK! ...with one caveat. Please read on.

Now, I knew prior to purchasing this that it was not likely going to be able to power all of my external USB devices sufficiently. But I went ahead and ordered it anyway because in the product description is says "optional AC adapter (not included)". Great! I figured if I wanted the AC adapter down the line, I could just get it at Monoprice. I have a Windows 10 VM on an external SSD and a very power hungry portable HDD and found right away that I absolutely needed the AC adapter if I wanted to use those drives on this hub. I searched Monoprice's website and couldn't find one. So I called customer support and was informed that they don't sell the optional adapter nor do they know where I can get it. All they could tell me was the power specifications for the adapter, which is 5V 2.5A. I was a little disappointed, but went ahead and did an Amazon search for "5V 2.5A adapter". A few options came up and I just selected one and ordered it. When I got it, it turned out that the barrel of the tip was too big to fit in the hub. So I explained the situation to the seller and sent them a photo of the hub's port. They were awesome and sent me a short converter cable that plugs into the AC adapter and the other end plugs perfectly into the USB/ethernet hub! All my external USB devices now work great in the hub and all ended very, very well!

Because of my situation, the seller went ahead and created a listing on Amazon for the adapter that works perfectly for this hub. Just go on to Amazon and do a search for "Charger Adapter Cord for Monoprice Ethernet / USB". Not sure why it does not come up first when you do that search, but it does come up 3rd or 4th. I really hope this helps the many who need the power supply for this very awesome USB 3 port gigabit ethernet hub!

The bottom line: This is a great combination USB 3.0/Ethernet hub. Very nice modern look and high quality build. Works flawlessly on a Mac - all at a great low price! I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

    PROS: - Gigabit ethernet speeds

    - USB 3.0

    - Works perfectly on Mac (after downloading and installing drivers)

    - Quality build, look and feel

    - Great low price

CONS: - Optional power supply not available at Monoprice & was a hassle to find (see my review for solution)

    - Mac driver required but not included and no mention of where to get it (see my review for solution)

Excellent solution for Mac - with the appropriate drivers
I've purchased about 50 of these things primarily for use with late model MacBook Airs. After a few weeks now, they have all been functioning perfectly with not a single issue. They ARE NOT plug and play for any Mac ~10.9 as Apple did pull built in support for non-Apple branded USB ethernet adapters around then. A quick Google search for: "AX88179 Drivers Download" will get you what's needed.

    Monoprice comes through again!

PROS: Inexpensive, USB 3 with Gig ethernet - what's not to love?

CONS: Smallish con, but certainly not the fault of manufacturer or Monoprice is the need for 3rd party drivers. It would be nice if there were a link on the product page and an explanation these WILL work with 10.9+ if the proper driver is used.

Once I was able to get to an optical drive and get he drivers to my laptop and installed works great. Any one that needs drivers for this product should be able to download the drivers for it without having to hunt down an optical drive to get the drivers from a disk. I think i will find a place in the cloud to host these for every one that wants to find them. Since Monoprice tech support does not have a copy of the drivers to hand out either.

PROS: Works great once the drivers are install

CONS: Works great once the drivers are install

    Great for hotel stays
I'd rather be hard-wired at the hotels where I stay instead of sketchy wireless - IF they have hard-wired access. Nice to have and the size isn't cumbersome to carry in the laptop case.

    Works as advertised
Works fine with Windows 10. I haven't tested it with an external power supply, however. Would be nice if you could download the drivers and didn't need a CD drive, but no big deal. No complaints otherwise.

    No problems, so far.
Works as advertised. It would be better if it had several more USB connections.

    Does work with Yosemite
To get this working I downloaded the AX88179 driver from ASIX at http://www.asix.com.tw/download.php?sub=driverdetail&PItemID=131 for Mac OS X. After restarting the Gigabit Ethernet port shows up in the Network preferences panel. Connecting a WD Passport to one of the USB ports without using an AC adapter doesn't work reliably, however.

PROS: Works with OS X Yosemite, despite claims otherwise

CONS: Requires drivers to work, won't reliably power USB hard drive without AC adapter

    WOULD BE A 5
Product setup easy, no installation issues, speed is great, the only issue is that the unit randomly disconnects and re-connects dropping my network connection for a few seconds disrupting downloads and streams. LED's go out then turn right back on, considering return if no solution is found promptly.

It is huge. I wanted an ethernet connection using USB 3.0, but didn't need additional ports, so I guess I could have gone with something else. As someone else posted, you need the driver from Asix (http://www.asix.com.tw/download.php?sub=driverdetail&PItemID=131). It works. Nothing else to say.

PROS: Works on my late 2014 Macbook Pro.

CONS: You need to download the driver: http://www.asix.com.tw/download.php?sub=driverdetail&PItemID=131
