I bought a few of these cables, in different lengths from 6 inches to 6 feet. When I received them the look and feel were very good and I liked the variety of colors available at the same price.
However, the product description claims that they can deliver a 2.4 amp charge, and this has not been true in my experience. Using two 2.4A chargers and the Android app "Ampere" to test, the "Maximum USB Current" is near 2A with the 6" cable, at best 1.5A with the 3' cable, and under 1A with the 6' cable. I'm disappointed with that, especially the longer cable.
I also tested the chargers with older micro-USB cables using a USB-C adapter and got higher amperage despite the old cables appearing to be lighter gauge.
You have to understand this guy is not for fast charging or USB 3.0 speed. For these, there is a more expensive cable. This cable really kick ass. Connects and charges flawlessly. Couldn`t test it seriously for attenuation or amps, but takes very low time to charge the phone with a good charger.
PROS: Does what it`s supposes to do. No issues. It`s well built and have a mesh around it for protection
Great product at a great price. My new phone is the first USB-C device I've owned, so need a bunch of cables around in case I lose them, as I often do.
No one's fault except my own, but I had thought this cable could be used with my OnePlus 5T phone and the Dash high speed charger. Apparently, the Dash charger requires a proprietary USB-C cable (not sure how USB-C can be proprietary, but whatever).
Anyway, it still works with the Dash charger, it just doesn't charge at high speed.
