Premium USB to Micro USB Charge & Sync Cable 1.5ft - Black
The USB micro B connector has become the new universal standard connector used on most smartphones and tablets. This premium USB 2.0 cable features a USB A male plug on one end and a USB micro B male plug on the other end. The polycarbonate connector heads are designed to fit through most phone and tablet cases, so you don't need to remove the case to charge or sync your device.
The connector heads measure 0.51" x 0.36" x 0.25" (13.0 x 9.3 x 6.3 mm) on the USB micro B end and 0.51" x 0.55" x 0.25" (13.0 x 13.8 x 6.3 mm) on the USB A end. The gold plated connectors ensure a smooth, corrosion-free connection. The cable is shielded to protect against signal interference and data loss.
- 100% compliant with USB 2.0 specifications
- Gold plated connectors ensure a smooth, corrosion-free connection
- Ultra-thin polycarbonate connector heads fit through most phone/tablet cases
- Shielded to protect against external signal interference
As mentioned, the ends of the actual cable where it meets with the connector on each end is unprotected. I refer to there not being any substantial bendy plastic sleeve, there is a tiny bit there, but mostly just wire straight into the connector.
Before you consider this an entirely bad thing, keep in mind that I think this gives them a great look, and certainly keeps them slim. For my own personal needs, these cables are perfect, I am very careful in my setup to never twist, bend or yank on the cables, but then friends and family come along for a quick charge, twist up the cable and it never performs well again.
Did you read all that? Sorry, I should have just said, don't twist the cables near the plugs, or you'll be purchasing new cables. Good thing these things are inexpensive, I always have at least 2 spares kicking around.
Tight and secure fit
Lots of colors
Attractive, for a cable
CONS: Wish it had more cable support and strength at the connectors
PROS: Works perfectly with the Nexus 6!
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 12003. If I may ask, what device were you trying to charge with this cable? If possible, can we test this cable with other devices as well? What was the amp rating of the charger in use? Did you try switching chargers to see if the issue persisted? Please let me know so we can look into this issue further. Thank you in advance!
