Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI® Cable with HDMI Mini Connector, 15ft

Connect your HD camcorder directly to your television using this Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI® Cable with HDMI Mini Connector from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable features an HDMI Mini Connector (Type C) on the source end and a regular HDMI Connector (Type A) on the other end. It supports the following general features:

    • HDMI Mini Connector at source end
    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • 36AWG copper conductors
    • Full size HDMI connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 21.0mm wide
    • HDMI Mini connector head measures only 11.5mm thick and 18.5mm wide
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

    Why use a thin cable?
I did some searching and found the cable that I needed on Monoprice (of course) and at one of the best prices (of course).

    PROS: Flexible and light weight.
Does not place a strain on the output connector of my dslr.
I could always use a longer length since I use the camera to live demo concepts like "depth of field" and exposure value.

CONS: I could always use a longer length.
Monoprice needs a less expensive shipping option when it is a single lightweight item like this cable.

I use it for my DSLR and less pression on my connector (mini hdmi).

    I recommend it.

    PROS: Thin and very flexible

    CONS: none so far

    Lightweight and flexible
Just a little thicker than earbud headphone cables, these HDMI cables are perfect for EFP camera work, especially when using DSLRs that only have HDMI outputs with fragile mini or micro connectors. These ultra slim connectors don't put much strain on the connections. Also, not a bad thing, but need to be aware and keep in mind that these are directional HDMI cables.

    PROS: + lightweight

    + very flexible

+ haven't had one go bad, yet

CONS: - wish they'd come out with a mini to mini version.

    15' Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable
I would highly recommend this cable as a thicker cable could disconnect when attempting to work on your PC or equipment as HDMI cables do not lock into ports.

PROS: I was surprised at how thin this cable was and had some concerns as to how well it would work. I attempted to connect my computer's video card mini-HDMI port with a HDMI port on my surround sound receiver. Could not get it to display video on my TV. Next I connected it to a Video converter with a composite/audio output and it worked fine. Enables me to use Netflix and Amazon to watch movies. My 55" TV is old and does not have a HDMI port. I connect my satellite receiver and my DVD player to my TV via a HDMI to DVI cable from my receiver and it has an excellent picture. I was hoping to add the computer to the receiver.

CONS: I did not find any.

    Thin, Long and well priced!
I needed a Micro-HDMI to HDMI for my Sony ILCE A6000. I love the camera and wanted to use my TV as a monitor for some projects. Well I popped the cable in both devices (HDMI on TV, MicroHDMI on A6000) and we were live. It's great to have the 15 feet of cable for options on where I put the camera, and not worry about a short cable option.

I mentioned it as a "con" that it would be cool if it could retract since it's so long, this is a design idea not a flaw. Also I know that retractables tangle sometimes, maybe a flat cable?

Any way great cable quality, price and length! Recommend for the Sony ILCE A6000

    PROS: Thin

    Long length

CONS: Not really a con, wish it could be a retractable cable, just a design idea, since it's so long.

    Works well, but not shielded
This is a great length for connecting a camera for livestreaming.

Just be sure that it is not running too close to other electrical devices (power adapters, etc) as the electromagnetic waves will cause distortion to the final video stream

    PROS: Extra Length

    CONS: Price

    Not Shielded (electrical interference)

    Can tangle/kink easily

    Not ideal for Broadcast
This is a great cable for general use: transferring files, TV or monitor connection, however the lack of shielding generates a lot of noise rendering it less than ideal for live broadcasting environments.

    PROS: Thin and Flexible
    Cost effective
    Great length

    CONS: Non-Shielded
    Ambient Interference
