1m 30AWG Internal Mini SAS 36pin (SFF-8087) Male to Mini SAS 36pin (SFF-8087) Male Cable - Black
Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) is a high-speed data storage interface designed for high-throughput and fast data access. Intended primarily for data storage centers, the SAS interface is backwards compatible with SATA. This allows the user to mix more expensive, lower-capacity SAS drives for applications that require faster data access and higher reliability, with lower-cost, higher-capacity SATA drives for applications with lower access speed requirements. Monoprice carries a full line of quality SAS cables with connectors for every possible application, both internal and external.
This 1 meter long cable uses 30 AWG wires and is intended for internal use. It has a 36-pin SFF-8087 male Mini-SAS plug (with locking latch) on each end.

PROS: Well-built cable with quality SFF-8087 connections on both ends wrapped in a braided sheath. What more could you ask for?
CONS: - 1 meter might be longer than you think. (Almost 40 inches! This is longer than most SAS/SATA cables,)
- Therefore this might be a bit long for some cases if you lack the space to manage the slack. This was installed in a Supermicro 4U chassis with plenty of space inside, so no issues were had here.
- Didn't help floss my teeth.
PROS: plenty of length to get from back plane to raid cards
great cost versus others
simply plug and play for SFF 8087 connections
PROS: Good length and flexible.
PROS: - Great quality
- Great price (~5-8x cheaper than anywhere else)

PROS: Good fit for large server chassis. IN-Win PP689E. Now if only my Adaptec controller could be reinitialized and stop saying "PANIC, I would be very happy
Bought two of these cables and they worked out great. The downside was that the lack of 90 degree bends at the connectors the dell cables have, I had to really put some scary bends on the cables and work them in so they could fit. The 1m length was a blessing, allowing me to run them the same way the real cables would have run with some excess tucked away. The server lid closes and life has been great since.
If I upgrade my other servers with H700 cards, I'll be ordering more of these cables, and maybe next time I see them on sale I may grab extras as emergency spares.
