Would the longest version of this cable , the 50ft one , will be able to handle 4K 4:4:4 ( From a Roku Ultra Player ) ?
    Rumen S on Oct 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, 50' HOSS will have same functionality as shorter HOSS, Full HDR support, 4k@60Hz, 18Gbps, YUV 4:4:4

    Thanks
The description says it is CL3...but the features state it is only CL2...which is it?

BEST ANSWER: Hoss is CL3 rated

    Thanks!
will this cable fit through a 1" conduit? Does it have ferrite coils on the cable?
    A shopper on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The cables connector dimms are 20.5 x 13.5 x 37mm, or .81x .53 x 1.46in. This cable would be very tight fit in a 1" conduit. This active cable does not require ferrite cores.
When will longer lengths be available for this cable? I need a 75' run that can support 4K. Any suggestions?
    A shopper on Jan 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: For 75' you could check out any of our SlimRun AV HDMI cables. We have several varieties at 75'.

At this time HOSS does not reach to 75'

    Thanks
Will this cable work with a passive hdmi cable attached to it?
    David T on Jan 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I know this isn't the answer you are looking for, but... it depends. I learned a lot when recently upgrading my home entertainment system to 4K (specifically 4K/60hz for an Xbox one X). The "it depends" part comes with what resolution you are trying to achieve on the back end of this cable. If you are going for 4K/60hz, my gut says you might have some problems achieving that level of performance if you add additional cable to this 50 footer. As a side note, I also learned the hard way that the chips installed in each end of this cable are sensitive. Take extra care not to knock the ends around when installing. Hope this helps!

Need a long 4K HDMI CL3 cable with all 4K Futures inc. HDCP 2.2, HDR...Get This!
I just installed my new HOSS HDMI cable (50ft) yesterday. As of now, I am excited to say that all my 4K devices are working perfectly. (see devices below) I am no longer receiving HDCP 2.2 & HDR issues, which is why I needed to upgrade. I am finally seeing the best 4K picture money can but on my amazing LG C7!

This cable is a perfect choice for In-Wall Installation with long runs. The cables are a little thicker but this is a plus for in-wall installs.

If you do not need in-wall installation, check out the DynamicView HDMI Cable (PT# 14472). I talked to Monoprice and the HOSS & DynamicView are basically identical. They have the same Spectra7 HT8181 Chipset and will work the same. The only difference is the way they are constructed..

Unlike the HOSS cable, I cannot recommend the Luxe Series CL3 (PT# 13760). I had HDCP and HDR issues so don't but the Luxe.

Devices: AppleTV 4K, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, FireTV 4K
    Switch: SwitchDeck 4K HDMI Switch 5x1 (Sewell PT# SW-32911)
    TV: LG OLED C7 55"

    4k hdmi cable
Waiting for my 4k projector so I will not be able to judge 4k until that time, however I can say the cable is working perfectly at 1080p.

First 4K Cable To Work With Xbox One X Over 25ft.
I recently purchased an Xbox One X, and tried several cables from Best Buy. Not one of them passed the 4K test. The only one that worked was their 25ft cable. After that, I found Monoprice. Their knowledgable staff gave suggested this cable, and it works great. No more issues with the Xbox One X! I wish I would have known about Monoprice sooner. In regards to the build quality of the cable, itâ??s robust. The outer insulation is THICK, so itâ??s best for in-wall installs.

QC issues for the 50 foot version
I ordered 2 of the 50' length. One of the cables worked perfectly, however, the other would constantly have issues such as intermittently displaying a black screen for a few seconds every minute. We tested switching the cables in all of the applications to verify it was the cable.

To me, this indicates there is obviously a QC problem at the manufacturer, but it makes me doubt the quality of the longevity of the working cable as well. We ultimately did not run these in our walls as it would be too difficult/expensive if there are issues in the future.
