It uses an active chipset to individually regenerate and balance the three video signal elements, giving it the ability to transmit signals at speeds up to 18Gbps*. This enables it to support all of the features specified in the latest HDMI specification, including 4K video at 60Hz* and 3D video. The CL3 fire safety rating means that the cable jacket has been treated with a fire-retardant, which ensures that it meets fire safety standards for use in and through the walls of residential class buildings.     CL3 Rated: The cable jacket has been treated with a flame retardant and has been tested to the CL3 standard, making it safe for use in and through the walls of residential class buildings.

    Active Chipset: The active chipset individually regenerates and balances the three video signal elements, giving the cable the ability to transmit High Speed HDMI signals over longer distances, using thinner gauge conductors than passive HDMI cables.

    Premium Braided Jacket: The plastic cable jacket has been encased within braided nylon, which resists nicks and cuts without reducing cable flexibility. Additionally, the braided jacket gives a premium appearance over that of ordinary plastic jackets.

    Zinc Alloy Connectors: The zinc alloy connectors not only improve durability, they help provide protection from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, which helps ensure the best performance possible.

    Will this cable work with another 6 foot standard HDMI cable hooked to it?

    BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. We do not recommend running another cable in a series using a coupler with our active cables due to the built in chip requiring power from the HDMI bus in order to function correctly.     Will this cord allow me to connect my Windows 10 desktop to a projector and use it as a second screen?

    Has anyone had success in enabling HDR and deep color with a 50 foot cable?

    BEST ANSWER: As long as it can truly do 18Gps data transfer, you should be OK.
    Does this cable support 4k with HDR at the 50ft length? So many variables to consider when planning on upgrades.

    BEST ANSWER: I have the Samsung KS9500 4k TV that supports 4:4:4 50/60 8-bit or 4:2:2 50/60 10-bit which requires a Picture Setting on the TV called HDMI UHD Color to be on for the HDMI Input being used, and when doing this it is what is enabling 4k to be the 50/60 otherwise with it off it is 24hz and I like a lot of others I have read on here am able to get picture using this cable with HDMI UHD Color turned off but no picture when turned on. It says on the sight in the * section that it will support the 4k 60hz up to 50ft but after that it goes to only 24hz so in writing yes it should work but in mine and a lot of others experience it hasn't. I even made sure the Oppo 4k Player video settings were setup properly to the 4:4:4 8-bit or 4:2:2 50/60 10-bit and no luck. There are a lot of factors to make sure are correct in the TV, AV/R, 4k Player video settings before realizing if it's the cable or not. Just make sure your AV/R (if using one) supports not just 4k HDR but 4k HDR 50/60 as well as the TV and 4k Player

    Poor or defective product, but great customer service
    Luckily, I tried out this cable on two separate TVs before having it snaked into a wall. It worked correctly with neither a Sony TV/Samsung BluRay combo, nor a Vizio TV/Comcast box combo. I even tried reversing the cables, thinking that perhaps the "TV' and "Source" plugs might have been backwards. Nada.
    On a positive note, the customer service man at Monoprice couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did he quickly process my return authorization, but he recommended a similar cable that had the benefit of prior positive reviews. It arrives tomorrow, so I can still keep my appointment with my installer.
    I should point out that I have been a Monoprice customer for years, and this is the very first issue I have ever had with any of its products.

    PROS: Excellent customer service, arrived when promised.

    CONS: It didn't work.

    Great cable
    I have just installed the longer 75 foot cable and this 50 footer will be installed soon. I underestimated the length needed and this is a "replacement" cable for a 30 foot Luxe Series CL3 cable and temp extending cable. The cable ends are well marked making installation easy and sure.

    PROS: Good signal, easy to install in attic, well marked ends

    Great cable... so far
    Ordered two of these 50'ers to feed a UHD display on the first floor from a cabinet in the basement. I won't have them hooked up for a few more months as we needed to install the cables before drywall went up. But, I did have the cables verified by my local hi-fi shop and they both tested out good for 18gb throughout. (Always test before installing in the walls!)

    Cables look great. Gorgeous connectors, nice looking sheathing, and very hefty overall. Only downside to the good looking sheathing is it sucks for pulling through wood framing. It's a woven fabric so it snags. It was doable but a fair amount more labor vs our other cables with smooth jackets.

    I was able to easily feed two cables through 1" holes. You just have to feed one connector through at a time. Otherwise, no issues with multiple runs.

    Looking forward to finishing the project to get these hooked up and tested.

    It is more flexible than my last hdmi cable 5 years ago. Seems to work fine.

    PROS: easier to bend to make turn to back of tv

    CONS: not sure that much of an improvement in picture over old one

    I'm having issues with scan lines that go away if I 'wiggle' the source end and position it carefully.

    It works for now, but I expect that I will have to replace this cable before long.
