    6inch VGA to 3 RCA Component Video Cable (HD15 - 3-RCA)

This cable is intended for use with projectors that use a VGA connector for its component (YPbPr) video connection. This cable DOES NOT CONVERT VGA signals to component video or vice versa - it functions only with devices that use the VGA connector for component video.

This cable has an DE15 (HD15) VGA/SVGA connector on one end and three, color-coded RCA connectors on the other end. The connectors and pins are gold plated for smooth, corrosion-free connections.

Make the most of Monoprice's AMPLIFIERS...
Keep a few in your kit bag, and make use of cheap VGA amplifier/splitter gear for HDTV duty. FYI, any op-amp suitable for VGA/RGBHV duty is MORE than adequate for YpBpR/Component duty, even at 1080i/p.

PROS: These little beauties let you use a VGA splitter/amplier as a component video amplifier. I've enjoyed fine results with their amps + these cables, over loooong runs (80-120ft) with 720p signals.

CONS: A bit stiff at the fat HD15 end, and a bit thin (physically and shielding-wise) at the RCA end, but who cares... they're cheap and they work great.

    Worked as expected
This thing works as expected and I had no trouble with it. Held up great even with many users plugging and unplugging it.

PROS: Works as expected no interference.

CONS: none seems like a quality device

Works great for my purpose. I need to short cable for use with my new Sony projector (720p). I was using the component inputs on my old projector, but the new ones doesn't haven't them. This did the trick on the cheap.

    Served its purpose beautifully
This was bought in hopes that it would serve as an adapter between a PS3 and a hotel room TV that had no normal video inputs other than a single composite line (which makes for non-HD video only). The Panasonic TV did have a VGA style connector that, upon investigation, had some pins dedicated to component signals. Using this cable and a coupler also bought from Monoprice, the PS3 was connected to the TV and, a few changed PS3 settings later, everything was in HD greatness. Thanks Monoprice!

    PROS: It worked

    CONS: Not very flexible

Exactly what I wanted... at the time!
Over a year ago I purchased an HDMI-to-component video conversion unit (HD Fury III), which worked part of the time. Finally, after a long time beating my head against the wall, it stopped working entirely. Too many things about the way it worked (finally) indicated the problem might be the VGA to 3 RCA Component cable. Testing proved it was, and I ordered the new one with the 6-inch cable bundle. I was wrong about the length because of different problems, but what I currently have works beautifully - no more missing the picture at random times. The cable is exactly what I wanted, even though I've since replaced it with a 6-foot long bundle for reason I don't need to go into here.

PROS: This one works! The one it replaces (not from Monoprice) didn't - spottily from the beginning - and not at all finally.

CONS: None, other than the fact I unknowingly made the wrong decision concerning length when I purchased it.

Worked fine with my infocus X1. Allowed me to get a 480p signal over component into the projector.
