Is this cable stranded or solid? I need to know which connectors to purchase.
    Michael P on Jun 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My purchase was of pre-fab cables, ready to use as provided; i.e. Plug and Play.
    Can this be ran outside?
    A shopper on Feb 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There's no info on the product page that says it's rated for outdoor or sunlight resistance, so I would not run this out in the open.

Does NOT pass CAT6a channel test on Fluke
We normally love ordering from Monoprice, great price and quality. However, when we received 5 of these cables and tested them with our $15,000 Fluke, they all failed the Near-End crosstalk test.

    PROS: Cheap cable
Will probably work for most scenarios

CONS: Does NOT pass CAT6a channel test on Fluke (failed Near-End crosstalk)
I wouldn't use these in a data center, especially for storage networking (ISCSI, FCOE)

    Better than dongle
Solid construction with good ends. Cheaper than the wifi $80 wifi dongle Samsung was selling for my tv. Wired has better connectivity/consistency than wifi also. Being an experienced cable tech made installation a snap, as I just dropped both ends down existing holes for cable runs. Netflix work great.

    PROS: It's CAT6!

    CONS: None

    PROS: Great Cable

CONS: Monitor stock turns better to prevent back orders and LONG replacement lead time from overseas of 50 footer.

Also... Not real happy about discontinuation of 35 footer.

    good stuff
good cable, I cut it apart to fasten other connectors to the ends so i can say its definitely pure copper and definitely shielded. Has a plastic piece through the middle to separate the twisted pairs too. Also, very important to folks like me, this cable is in-wall rated (CMG) so if you only need a short distance of cable to put through the wall this is for you (I had to call customer service cause they don't list this stuff on the shorter cables).

    PROS: shielded

    in wall rated

    pure copper

It did what I wanted it to do.
I ran this cable through my house to run my 4 remote TV's
to eliminate a bunch Comcast cable boxes and it did what I wanted it to. I wish it came in more colors.
