Monoprice Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.
These runs were through walls, through an unfinished attic and through ceilings and cabinetry. I still have about 400 feet left to run, but so far each cable has stood up to be pulled, twisted, and guided through the vatious spaces. Obviously, I am using CARE when pulling and/or twisting I really do not want to invite disaster by over doing it I do not believe the cables are indestrctable. Hoever I can say that I have not been "overly cautious" during these pulls, because as everyone who has ever done it know - when you are solo pulling cables through finish walls / cabinetry / etc. sometime a little force is necessary. I have broken cables in the past when I believe I was being perfectly reasonable in the amount of force I was using, these cables stood up to the test when others have failed!
Also - each of these cables I have run works with my devices connecting to the network and my switch showing gigabit signal passing through them once they are connected!
Kudos to Monoprice :)
PROS: Price & Performance
PROS: Great prices and fast shipping
CONS: Non so far.
PROS: Highly visible, very inexpensive, high quality materials, performed flawlessly.
CONS: No cons.
PROS: Amazing quality, even better packaging and labelling.
CONS: None. I will note that the "boot" around the connector is a tad larger than the traditional ethernet cable and certain devices (such as my HP Mini) have cramped ethernet ports and you have to push it out of the way. I blame HP, not these amazing ethernet cables.
PROS: Well made
