Monoprice Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.
We've ordered hundreds of Cat6 cables from monoprice (500-1000 so far) and the quality is consistent throughout regardless of length or color. We have not had a bad cable yet.
We've redone almost our entire network using cables from monoprice (going from Cat5 to Cat6). These cables are as as good as the high end ones that are 10x the price (did comparisons, have proof).
PROS: High Speed (they're not kidding)
Strong clips, includes boots!
High Quality. Consistent too.
CONS: boots make it a little hard to unplug depending on the device, but that's kinda the idea. :)
Ordered lots of these, a few had to be seated 2x to make the connection, but that's fairly standard fair when working with all new equipment, seating it for the first time.
Its short, only 3 but, its perfect when you dont need much cable or dont have a lot of room.
Keep in mind that Patch Cables are supposed to be 6 or longer. (Yes, thats six foot, or longer!) Talk to any good IT person and thats what theyll always advise. Unlike USB Cables where length can hurt you, most patch cables need the length to work properly. With USB Cables, you should only use a total length of up to 12 to 15 feet total cable length (including extensions, etc). And, with un-powered USB devices (USB devices that dont have a separate Power Supply Cord, like your printer does) you should never exceed 6 feet of total USB cable length. The rule with USB is the shorter the cable - the better.
With Patch Cables, always try use 6 foot lengths or longer of CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable.
For particular short patch cables runs, when its absolutely necessary to use a short CAT 6 Patch Cable, this is GREAT CABLE!
PROS: Great price, great build quality. They don't feel cheap, even though they're so inexpensive! Not much else to say. they're just great great great!
CONS: The ONLY issue I have is the style of the bootstrap. I would have preferred a different style as these ones are always hard to press, but that's really a very minor con.
Delivery arrived within the expected window
PROS: Vast variety of CAT6 cable sought - competitive prices
CONS: Dynamic inventory......not a huge problem with this order but a concern
PROS: Good quality at a good price
PROS: Good quality, works exactly as rated. Great Price
PROS: 3 ft in length. Red. Works as advertised.
Good quality cables, all consistent lengths.
