Always our favorite cable. Easy to clip in, easy to remove, never snags, and super high quality. We've stocked many sizes and colors for years (used thousands of them) and never -- NEVER -- had a bad cable.
I purchased about 100 of these to patch from Monoprice patch panels to my switches. I spent the next several days with my cheap network tester trying to figure out why some ports in our office just didn't work and some worked intermittently. I replaced keystones, I repunched the panels, I wasted hour upon hour. Come to find out, these patch cables just don't make clean connections into their own patch panels. As soon as I switched them out to some random 6' patch cables I had leftover from computers, the ports fired right up. What an incredibly frustrating waste of my time when I'm in the middle of a large deploy. These cables cannot be trusted.
PROS: They seem to be about the size they are supposed to be.
They come in a variety of colors.
CONS: They do not make good connections with Monoprice patch panels.
Thank you for your review on PID 11274. I see that you have also ordered the white and yellow versions of this cable. If I may ask, is this connection issue occurring with all three colors? How many cables out of each PID did you experience these issues with? Do the cables appear to be too loose in the ports? Is the issue still present when the cables are used with other devices such as computers, modems, routers, switches, etc.? Also, do you happen to have the PIDs of the keystones and patch panels in use here? Please let me know so we can look into this matter further. My apologies for any inconvenience and thank you in advance!
