Our band sometimes plays in small venues where the dancers are almost on top of us. Many times dancers have stepped on the straight power cords and pulled them out of our powered floor monitors. We bought several of these right-angle power cords to prevent that problem.
The right angle plug on the PC end of this cord was exactly what I needed to let the PC sit back against a cross brace on my computer desk. The cross brace only blocked the power cord so this completely solved the issue.
Great cable but as mentioned by others a bit stiff and kinked out of the package. Remedy? Soak it in Hot Water for a few minutes (keep the plug ends dry) and then dry it and the kinks come right out and the Cable is nice and flexible again.
Otherwise? Great Cable. Fits nice and snug into the back of my Guitar Amp and the Plug end is very high quality as well. It's 16 gauge which was an upgrade to what I had before (18) in the same diameter cable, and it's got a 300V, 105 degree rating.
Needed this to flush mount my 37" Vizio using a low profile bracket I bought here at Monoprice. If it came in a version where the cord dropped left instead of right, then I would have purchased that instead. Still works, just have to loop the cord back the other direction.
