6ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Female 22AWG Extension Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
3ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.
The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.
Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.
PROS: Great sound separation, Amazing clarity, No noise or feedback
CONS: End connector needs to be modified to connect through an Otterbox
PROS: Excellent sound quality
CONS: Stupidly thick (but worth it)
For me, I use the RCA-3.5mm/female cord to plug into a 3.5mm/male/male cord to plug my DVD player into my large Fluance Fi50 bluetooth stereo speaker auxillary port so I can play CD's on my bluetooth stereo. It works great for that application, the cord and dvd player never move at all.
It doesent work as well with mobile/small devices, or even laptop, because these get moved and it (generally) can cause sound to drop in and out from the connector moving.
PROS: The kids won't be able to break them.
PROS: Very well made
Does not distort
They are PERFECT for that application.
Prior to these, I had gone through 4 or 5 regular 3.5mm audio cables... From the junky retractables, all the way up to "premium" ones from The Source at almost $20 a pop in Canada. None of the others lasted more than 6 months before failing or coming apart.
I have been using this one cable for well over 2 years now with NO visible wear at all. I use it in the car stereo AUX input (left in permanently) and connect it to my MP3 player and occasionally my phone multiple times every single day. I've never found another cable able take this kind of heavy use day in, day out with no effect.
Yes the heads are big, but if you can fit them to your device, there really is no better cable anywhere!
I bought several lengths to try in my car, but after starting with the 3ft version, I have yet to remove it heh heh heh. I wouldn't be surprised if this cable lasts longer than my car does )
PROS: Super durable, Perfect sound
PROS: Awesome shielding. Super thick. Doubt it will ever break.
CONS: Super thick connectors make it very hard to plug into many modern tablets/ ipods/ etc. If your phone or device has a case this will not plug in about 90% of the time without case removal. Doesn't flex as much as I would like sometimes.
PROS: Sounds great
CONS: May be too big for some applications
PROS: Well built.
CONS: Might be a bit big for portable solution or tight in a clumsy space.
