This bulk cable is designed to provide both a video and power connection to a CCTV security camera. The video line is made of 22 AWG shielded RG-59 video cable with an impedance of 75 ohms. The power line is made with a pair of 18AWG copper conductors. With bulk cable, you can create a cable of the perfect length for each of your camera installations.

This cable does not include connectors. You must obtain connectors separately and terminate the cable yourself. Please see the specifications page for more details.

For short runs less than 100 feet its fine. Anything close to that or longer get rg6 siamese. Price difference is negligible and not a bad idea even for shorter runs. Unfortunately monoprice doesn't carry it.

    PROS: not terribly expensive

CONS: The main conductor in this cable isn't copper which made a picture quality difference on longer runs. For the same price you can get solid copper rg6 from other sources. Power cable was fine.

    Works As Described
Only thing to note since it's siamese when you split the two leads and start working the RG59 there's always a little bit of the plastic that connected the two wires left over that gives resistance when you put the compression fitting over. I failed to realize this at first and had my first three wires turn out dead because I thought they were bottoming out in the connector but it was just the little connector plastic on the side. Either trim that part or just be sure to make sure it's secure past when you think it is.

One other bit of advice for anyone trying this, Check continuity or plug the camera in before crimping. Compression style Jacks will work before they're crimped. If you don't have video you know something is wrong before you crimp it and waste a jack. Learn from my mistakes.

PROS: High quality cable with good shielding. Relatively good pricing.

CONS: Nothing to stop anyone from buying this.

    Excellent quality, as always!
Excellent quality cable in a spool box for easy pulling. Foot markings on the cable make measurements easy as well. The 18/2 for power is very good quality, the strands in the wires are thicker than most 18 gauge wire for better conductivity and strength.

This cable and the BNC compression connectors (product number 9910) are a perfect match and make the job go smooth. I will be using this cable with all my future installations!

    Great Product
These boxed spools of cable were perfect. Still using them, but seriously saved me on costs and couplers since Im running cables beyond 300ft.

    Quality Cable
Good quality cable, made for easy pulls and runs. Longest run was 90+ feet into walls and ceiling. Used with Item 9910 [10pcs] Male BNC Compression Connector for RG-59 combination matted perfectly. Would recommend to anyone looking to DIY security camera install.

PROS: Easy pulls through attic and walls

Mates with Item 9910 [10pcs] Male BNC Compression Connector for RG-59

Use with Item 3356 Adjustable Compression Water proof Connectors Crimping Tool [HT-H510B]

CONS: If cable was a little more flexible then this would be an awesome cable.

    Siamese Cable
    It's cable. Does the job.

PROS: Video and power in one cable.

    CONS: Does not install itself!

    High quality cable
For long runs (100 ft.), very good cable since relatively heavy gauge wires will minimize voltage loss.

PROS: RG-59 coax and 22 awg power wire = high quality!

CONS: Because of the heavy duty cable, size is about 3x size of security camera cable.

    Good cable for the price

    PROS: Price

CONS: Center conductor is copper aluminum and not pure copper

Some kinks in the cable were noticed during install, but we assumed it would work as advertised. Installed cable... you guessed it, run doesn't work. Contacted Monoprice and they readily gave a refund for 20% of the price of the spool. So, that covers the cable lost, unless I need that 100' in which case I'll have to either buy a new 500' spool or a much more expensive 100' cable. Plus, Monoprice wouldn't cover even the BNC connectors wasted in the first install, not to mention the time and hassle.

PROS: Easier to fish one cable than two.

CONS: Kinks in the spool led to one of the runs not working.
