On the search page, the description for this item says it can be used for SDI-HD, but when I click on the item, then items description page just says it's 5 wilre RGB, and that implies to me that it's just standard analog video cable.

So what's the scoop? Is this wire SDI-HD capable, or not?

BEST ANSWER: Can't say about SDI. I'm running this to tidy up my wiring. I took it off since I ran CAT6 with baluns that connected directly to the CCTV DVR. It worked with TVI (up to my max cameras' resolution of 2MP). It is a moot point if using baluns. The short answer is it is analog and so is TVI transport and it worked just fine. I believe SDI is analog as well.

    Works well, gets job done!
The video quality seems to be good, I am able to use the cable with my setup and it looks fine on my plasma screen. The BNC wires seem pretty thin, although the overall build quality seems good.

    PROS: Good quality

    CONS: Wires seem pretty thin

    good value
these are high quality bnc cables at a fraction of the price you would pay for comparable video cables at markertek, etc. they do not hold up to abuse but if you are gentle on them, you will be happy with the results. i've run analog 1080i rgb video on them without any sign of moire distortion.

PROS: you will not get any interference or hum even when running hd video through them.

CONS: the connectors are a little fussy and the thin wires at the end are delicate. if you aren't careful, it is easy to damage them by putting on to much physical strain on the end wires and connectors.
