Some of the blackbird units explicitly state they have EDID passthrough support in the description. Do all blackbird HDBaseT extenders have EDID passthrough?

What does POC mean? Is that the same as PoE, or power over Ethernet?
    Amit T on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, it's not quite the same, but close. PoE refers literally to power provided over an Ethernet-network-connected cable. HDBaseT uses a CAT5/6 cable to connect its devices directly (aka point-to-point) rather than to a network, meaning that HDBaseT devices are not actually Ethernet-connected. As such, these devices don't use Power-over-Ethernet because they don't actually use the Ethernet protocol, even though they do use the same cable (CAT5/6). With that said, however, from a practical standpoint PoC and PoE are very similar. In this case, PoC refers to the fact that the receiver doesn't need its own power adapter; instead, the power supplied to the transmitter is also delivered via PoC to the receiver.
    Does this support audio too?
    Jeffrey W on Feb 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, these are full featured HDBaseT products that support Audio, Video, PoC, and 100BaseT ethernet over ethernet.
