Will this allow bitsteam audio to go to my receiver and the 4k video stream to go to my TV? My setup is an XBox One S and a Visio P 65 C1 and a Marantz 5001 receiver.

Will I be able to split an HDMI 2.0a signal from a 4K Apple TV (the new one) into 2 identical outputs...1 going to a new 4K HDR LG OLED TV (HDR10 and DolbyHDR) and 1 going to a new OPPO 205 HDMI input, and keep all the information put out by the Apple TV to both devices? Thank you.
    A shopper on Oct 14, 2017
    BEST ANSWER: Hi Shopper,

Ultimately it will depend on how the OPPO 205 is configured. HDMI splitters will read the EDID information from both sink devices and output in a format that is common among both. Normally connecting a splitter to a Display and an AVR will not have the results users are looking for.

I would say that in this case, it would not work unless the OPPO 205 is capable of manipulating EDID to trick the splitter into thinking that it is an HDCP 2.2 device capable of supporting 4K HDR. Unfortunately, i know that OPPO is no longer around, but OPPO would be the best place to find out if a switch would work with their unit.
    Will it work with HDR10?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will, thanks!
What does this splitter do when it receives a HDMI 2.0 signal?
    Mark P on Apr 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This splitter will support HDMI 2.0 signals. Once it receives the signal it will output it to your compatible display. Keep in mind that the splitter will detect the EDID information of the first display connected to it then split that. You would want to be sure that you are splitting a signal that both displays will support.

What audio formats does this support... DTS, Dold]by Digital, 5.1 / 7.1.... Is it 32 bit audio?

Is Dolby Vision supported? If not, which Monoprice splitter/matrix will Support Dolby Vision.

    Does it support dolby vision?
    Dan B on Jun 17, 2018
Can it output one at HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 and the other at HDMI 1.4? That would allow me to split my HD audio to my receiver without needing a whole new one!
    A shopper on May 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. HDMI splitters will choose the HDMI spec that both displays will support then will output that. So in your setup it will default to the 1.4 HDMI spec. It would be best to use an HDMI audio extractor or use the audio output of your TV if it has one.

Does this splitter also support 3D?

Do I have to use the supplied cable, or will any MicroUSB cable into any USB port suffice? I plan on getting two, but that just makes for excessive unusable outlets, which I would love to avoid.
    Steven S on Jul 31, 2017
Using an active cable such as the Luxe, how long can you go from the source to the tv and still achieve strong signal? Other splitters are capped off at certain feet but that isn't listed here.
    New User U on Aug 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It works with a 25 foot active cable connected to a passive HDMI female to female wall plate and then to a 10 foot passive cable from the wall plate to the TV.

The active cable is: Select Active Series High Speed HDMI Cable with RedMere Technology, 25ft
what is the maximum distance between the splitter and the tv?
    Christian H on Jun 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The max distance will depend on the HDMI cables being used. Should you require to use longer than 25ft cables, you would want to use an Active HDMI cable. Such as our Luxe or Cabernet Ultra Active HDMI cables. Just be sure to have the "Display" or "TV" labeled end of the active cable connected directly to the TV.
Will this work with the oculus VR?

    Didn't Work For Me
I split 4K HDR signal from an Oppo UDP-205 blu-ray player to a 4K HDR TV (10 ft. run) and a 4K HDR compliant DLA-RS500 JVC projector (50 ft. run through Monoprice SlimRun HDR Cable), I was unable to consistently recieve signal.

    Blackbird Pro works!
This has worked with multiple combinations including a run of 25 ft over an active Redmere HDMI cable and then an additional 10 feet. I have tried multiple configurations with 4 different TV's including a Samsung UHD 8000 series, and 2 different AVR (Denon AVR-X2000 and Pioneer VSX-1130). I previously tried an older splitter that was not HDCP 2.2 compliant. It would not work with the Samsung TV and I returned it for the Blackbird 4K Pro. Monoprice provided outstanding customer service.

Blackbird 4K Pro 1x2 HDMI Splitter
Works flawlessly so far. It is very small in comparison with others I have owned. This is the first HDMI splitter that I have owned that does not go out briefly when the second tv is turned on. The blinking lights can be annoying but that is my only complaint so far.

    Excellent HDMI splitter
I use this splitter to send HDMI from my computer to a42" HDMI TV over a 50 ft redmer cable. The picture is excellent and I strongly recommend this technology for longer cable runs. The tech support folks at Monoprice helped me select it.

good but great for long distance
I believe this unit would work perfectly if I wasn't 60' of cable between TV's. Every once in awhile I lose the sound but unplugging it for a second restores the sound with no delay.

    Works like a charm
I used this to connect two TV to my cable box. I already had RF remotes. So now I can watch TV in Living room or bedroom off of the same TV. Note: if watching both at the same time you can't watch different shows. But works for us and we only need to keep one DVR list up to date.

    As advertised
Cleanly splits the HDMI signal. No issues with quality. Using a 75' HDMI fibre cable to a remote tv and works perfectly.
