The reason for the single to two outputs was to use both outputs for my home receiver's surround sound. My receiver is obsolete by it not having any HDMI inputs. Two of the 3 components had audio optical outs, the 3rd did not. Thus, was thinking the HDMI splitter would channel the component with no optical audio out through either of the other two's HDMIs, then to the receiver's single audio optical in (both optical outs to a 2 in, 1 out Toslink splitter).. Confusing? The geeks probably get it. So, not sure you want to use this for a publish product rating..
Can't afford to upgrade the receiver, yet. Not sure there is any other device(s) from no luck yet researching that can do what I had in mind? Help?
