3x1 Enhanced HDMI® Switch with Built-In Equalizer & Remote Control

Enjoy the easy switching life with the Monoprice 3x1 Enhanced HDMI® Switch!

This switch allows you to connect three HDMI inputs and direct them to a single HDMI output. It fully conforms to the the HDCP and includes support for all 3D formats.

Two of the inputs are in the traditional location on the back, while the third is on the front panel. This allows you to easily make temporary connections, such as from a phone or tablet, without having to reach behind and locate the plug by feel.

The switch includes a remote control, with an on/off button, three direct access buttons, and a pair of directional buttons to cycle between available inputs. Whenever a device is turned off, the unit automatically switches to the next device in the chain, the same as if you had pressed the "next" button on the remote or pressed the "Touch switch" on the front panel.

The switch also incorporates an amplifier, which automatically regenerates the HDMI signal to full strength, allowing you to use longer-than-normal HDMI cables from the input devices. An external 5VDC power supply is required and supplied with the unit.

Note: Monoprice strongly recommends the use of minimum 24 AWG HDMI cables when connecting a device, such as this switch, between the source and destination devices to ensure minimal signal loss and maximum High Speed signal reliability.

The switch won't stop on an input, it keeps switching?
    A shopper on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Assuming you have more than two devices available, try plugging in two at a time. It may be that one of them has a power-saving feature that is causing it to be repeatedly re-detected as the active device.
I need a swith box that has 2 inputs and 1 output will this work in rev.?
    David J O on Jan 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This has 3 inputs and 1 output. You don't have to use all of the inputs. I am currently using it with 2 in and 1 out.
Be aware that one of the inputs is on the front of the box. This would work well to hook up a computer that has HDMI output.
Cant get this switch to work with monoprice HDMI over ethernet adapter (8121). Any ideas?
    A shopper on Jan 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You would have to add an external power adapter.
Plugged in the unit and see a red flashing power led. Any idea what that means?
    Gail S on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, have you checked to see if it'll go away eventually? Otherwise, that is usually an indicator that data is passing through. Otherwise, I would try another power outlet. I hope this helps and thank you for your question!

    A great HDMI switch box
This HDMI switch is fantastic. I also used it with the least expensive HDMI cables and it worked flawlessly. My Logitech Harmony remote controls it just fine as well. I use it because I only have one extra port on my Sony receiver and I need to plug in an Apple TV2, a Western Digital TV and on occasion, a MacBook Pro. I specifically picked this model because the output and two inputs and power are on the back, and there is a single input on the front. I use the single input on the front rarely for my Macbook. The remote works perfectly as does the "touch" button on the front for selecting the source. I am very impressed with this switch!

PROS: Two inputs, the output and the power cable all come out the back. The box is very small, about the size of my Apple TV2 box (just a little bigger) Price, service and shipping from Monoprice is great as usual. Remote is small and works fine, also Logitech Harmony compatiable!

CONS: The Blue LED's on the front are WAY to bright. I put a piece of black duct tape over them, and that dimmed them down about 90%, but you can still see them! The brightness level is just fine with the tape over them. Without it, they are like a Blue LED flashlight!!!!!

    Awesome
The switch works flawlessly. there is a remote to switch from one input to another, but what's even better is the priority input feature it has. If only one of the devices plugged into the switch is on, then the switch will automatically set to that input. If more than one input device is on, priority is given to the lowest numbered input (of 1, 2, and 3). The way I use my set-up, I don't even have to worry about switching to the correct input everything is done for me.

    Returned for Refund
If switching content-protected HDMI do not buy but otherwise it would be a good purchase. Monoprice credited the return in a reasonable amount of time so feel confident that your purchases are safe.

PROS: Nice metal design, felt substantial

CONS: Does not work with HBO and DirectTV which requires that it pass a HDCP signal

    3x1 HDMI switch
Does exactly what it is supposed to do and even comes with a remote.

PROS: Works like a champ, good clear picture. Great price!

CONS: Unit is a little small and I wish all of the ports were on the back (one of the outputs is on the front).

    Gotta wear shades
I'm really happy with this switcher. It works great on my projector which is 30+ feet of cable away from the switcher. The automatic switching is really really nice however although my computer & PS3 seem to activate it my cable box does not for some reason. The front connection could be a plus or a minus depending on your needs but as far as keeping the cabling under control goes I'd say it's a minus. The main thing I don't like is the brightness of the LED's. If you're using a projector and trying to maintain a light controlled environment you'll have to cover the LED's with tape.

    PROS: Automatic switching
    Price

CONS: LED's are way way way too bright

PROS: Works out of the box just the way they said it would. What more can you say about it. No more going on the floor to change wires.

CONS: The on light is a little too bright but not a problem

    Works Great
This works exactly as advertised. I have 1 HDMI input on TV and now I can switch between TIVO and Apple TV. I control it all through my Harmony remote. The LED's are bright but there are solutions to that. If you don't need to see the LED's...black electrical tape is the perfect size and becomes invisible on the box. Just be sure to not cover the IR receiver on the left of LED's. If you want to see the LED's but want them dimmed...this site sells a solution. http://www.lightdims.com/store.htm

    HIGHLY recommend....great price, quick delivery.

    PROS: Works great

    CONS: LED's very bright

I have an older receiver so I couldn't run my hdmi devices through a receiver. This worked like a charm. I turn my Xbox on and it senses a new signal and switches to it. I turn the Xbox off and it switches back to cable. I don't have to worry about the wife bugging me with questions about why the cable doesn't work with this. I do wish it had an IR extender port so the remote would work with all the equipment in a closet though. But its no big deal.

PROS: Simple to set up, auto senses inputs, includes remote control

    CONS: No IR extender port
