This is a transmitter only, apparently. Is the receiver included, or do I need to find one elsewhere?
    Mitch M on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The picture shows that one device is a transmitter and the other is a receiver.
Does this allow for 2 displays, 1 from HDMI and 1 from the CAT6 to receiver at the same time? For example can I connect it to blu-ray and watch in living room & basement?

    Any lag on the conversion?
    Joel H on Mar 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. There should be no lag on the conversion from HDMI to Cat6 then back over to HDMI. However, I would recommend using shielded Cat6 cable to help prevent possible signal interference in the run, which could possibly cause issues. I hope this helps.
What is the difference between product 18784 and 24181?

Can I use 2 sets of these with a 1x4 splitter? 3 TVs total, 2 running off extenders, 1 in same room run directly off splitter with HDMI cable. Set top box is only source needed.

Blackbird HDMI Extender over Single 100m CAT6 (TCP/IP) with IR Support
Blackbird HDMI Extender over Single 100m CAT6 (TCP/IP) with IR Support
BEST ANSWER: I use the extender from my source to a splitter, then into two TVs. That seems to work well for me with no issues in the signal. But it seems like you are trying to go the other way. In that case, I am not sure? I would imagine that it should work, but you may lose some distance. You may not get the range from the extenders that they are estimated to send the signal. If your distance is shorter than their max range, I bet you will be ok. But if you're trying to go their maximum range you may run into some issues.
    I already have a cat5e run will I need to run a cat6?
    A shopper on Jul 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm using CAT6a but I also have a Product ID: 16048 that can transmit to 100 meters over CAT6. From what I understand the distances are shorter if you use cat5e. I'll bet the same holds true. You won't get 50 meters on a cat5e cable.

can this be extended using a switch?
    New User U on Apr 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. There is no Ethernet protocol associated with this HDMI extender.
I've plugged everything in to my Extender. Before powering up my source and display, the instructions say to allow for the link light to come on. I've not seen that come on and only am getting a flashing power light on my transmitter. If I unplug my hdmi's and switch the edid to use edid information from the pass through still no picture. If I power everything on in either setting, there is no signal transfer. Any idea why the flashing light?

Question regarding the EDID switch #2 on the transmitter. Neither the manual nor the transmitter indicate which direction the EDID switch should be in to obtain EDID data from the display connected to the receiver or the display connected to the pass through port. Could you please specify which position the switch should be in for each? Thank you.

I love this so much I bought a second one.
I am using two of these in my house and one that will go 100 meters at our dog club. They fulfill a need and do it very well.

    Work's great
I have this connected with a 50-foot Cat6 cable to feed my outdoor TV. It works great and is much less expensive than other models out there. I'm very happy with it! I haven't tried the IR blasters yet, but I will soon.

    Replacement product
Older unit used for an outdoor application quit working and easy to replace. Initially with interrupted sound (intermittent) but good picture quality. However, after about 30 minutes no further issues with sound loss. Pleased with price and function

Not a bad product for the price
If you are looking at extending your signal about 40', it's a cost effective solution. If you are looking at keeping it more on a professional look, spend a little more money on a higher quality product. I noticed just a little ghosting around the image, if you are up close, from a distance it looks great. I used this along with CAT6A to make sure nothing would cause interference.

    Intermittent connection
I'm using this in conjunction with a mono price for out HDMI splitter depending on how you turn the order of components on sometimes it works great sometimes it doesn't work at all still trying to figure it out not just plug-and-play as I had hoped , when it does work the picture is good when it doesn't work the picture comes on intermittently goes off for a second or two sometime goes off for a second or two that's very frustrating
