Max resolution supported is only 1280x1024
Appears to be a quality product but didn't work for my application which uses 1600x1200 resolution.

    PROS: Inexpensive

CONS: Max resolution supported is only 1280x1024. Didn't work for my application which used 1600x1200.

For the price, this is an excellent KVM switch.
While included cables would have been nice, they are definitely available for sweet prices at Monoprice. I only needed one DVI cable so I was able to utilize excess.
The functionality of this KVM is excellent
I did use a USB/PS2 adapter for my cheap mouse without any issues at all.
Im very pleased with this product.
    Thumbs up MonoPrice!

Will it only work if you have dvi and ps/2 hooked up? i get a signal on video 1 but nothing from video 2. both computers work with video 1.

    PROS: DVI switch

CONS: Doesnt work for me. I dont have any ps2 devices though, maybe thats why?

    Works with older gear, too
I needed to share a mouse and keyboard between a new machine running Windows 7 and an ancient one running a special purpose OS based on Windows 2000. Several KVM switches I tried would not work with the older machine but this one does great.

    PROS: Works with pre-XP OSs

    CONS: None

    2 port DVI KVM Switch
Paid shipping cost to get the product and shipping costs to return. Where is the RMA shipping label.

    PROS: none

CONS: You have to be using PS2 ports in order for this to work. What PC manufacturer uses PS2 ports today?

Works as described. Be aware that the max resolution supported is only 1280x1024. I happen to prefer my monitors resolution at 1680x1050. I deducted a point for the resolution limitation and another point because it doesnt come with cables.

    Same as other reviews
This item did not work for me. It doesn't look like the PS2 issue has been cleared up but I'm not using any PS2 devices (Mouse or keyboard) and not sure if that's causing the issue. I have a computer and Playstation 4 (HDMI to DVI cable) hooked up and get no green lights or any display. Dissatisfied with this since it was a Christmas gift and was looking forward to using it

    Cables not included

PROS: The unit seems to be well built

CONS: No cables, and no reference of availability from Monoprice.

    Exact same problem as
I had the exact same problem as other reviewers. The KVM switch had no interest in actually SWITCHING.

    PROS: It was cheap?

CONS: Everything but the price. Didn't work.

Two Red Lights and Won't Work
I have my two computers hooked up to the unit. There are two red lights on the front, but no green ones as the super short instructions said there will be. Pressing the buttons on the front makes the unit beep, but the screens don't switch and the colors don't change.

    PROS: None

    CONS: PS2 and quality issues

    Response from Monoprice
    Hi Jameson,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about you experience with PID 4074. Has this worked properly for you initially? For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried switching the cables or connecting to a different source or display to see if that changes anything? Another thing you can try is power cycling the switch.

Disconnect everything from the switch including power and cables. After about 5 minutes, plug everything back in and power everything back on. Also try powering everything on from the display and work backwards in the chain to the source device.

Please let me know if the above steps yield any results. Thank you for your cooperation in the matter.
