I purchase two of these cables for my PS3 move and Kinect cameras. Ran both cables behind my finished basement wall and right under my projector's screen. Both cameras performed flawlessly with no picture distortion or lag. You cannot beat the price for these cables. and now I do not have the mess in front of my wall.
I have a home theater with a system 12 feet from my primary seating and wanted a corded mouse (I hate coreless). With even a typical extension cable of 10', I was getting errors on the system and usb bus causing my mouse to loose connection, much like a cordless. I picked up one of these and ran the cable under the floor and up. Its eliminated all problems with usb since. I love it.
PROS: Inexpensive. Inconspicuous color, not flaming orange.
I was able to finally hook up my Eye Camera and use the sharpshooter gun with KillZone 3 and Socom 4 for the PS3. I hope to have the same success with the Kinect when I get that later in the year. Highly recommended.
I picked up a few repeater cables that claimed it would work with the Kinect none worked good, this was a last ditch effort before spending over $60 on the 16ft MS one. Plugged it in, No problems at all with the Kinect. If you think the 9' USB cable that came with the M Kinect is way too short, this is for you and the price can not be beat !
I tried in the past using just a regular 6' extension cable on my C910 Webcam only to find out it wouldn't even recognize the camera when I plugged it into the laptop. I purchased two of these USB active extensions and plugged them together and they worked great! These are awesome. No external power needed. I have read Webcams can be very fussy about extending the cables on them but these worked flawlessly! I am actually going to buy another one now to try on my USB receiver for my wireless keyboard. My keyboard sits about 12 feet from my computer now and I think one of these will work perfect to get the USB wireless keyboard receiver closer to me so it doesn't miss any key strokes. I will have to post a review on that!
PROS: No disks, no drivers, no problems. worked out of the box as advertised
CONS: There are no cons these worked as advertised on a difficult application.
