Works as advertised. Picture actually brighter than through DVI. I was unnecessarily worried the cable might be stiff - it's actually quite flexible. Also was worried that 6 feet might bee too long when the monitor is right next to computer but in the end I'm glad I didn't get the 3 foot cable.
I needed to connect a second Monitor (Dell) to an iMac. this cable did the job perfectly. using the mini display port on the IMac and the DP video port on the dell. this is a very clean, inexpensive and easy solution. great product
I purchased two of these cables in 2014 to connect my 2013 Macbook Pro 13" Retina to my Dell U2410 display.
The cables arrived promptly, and they worked as intended with no problems for about two years. Now one of the cables continues to function properly, but the other cable has intermittent problems. My screen will turn off for a few seconds at a time, then come back on. More recently it has started to not come back on unless I unplugged and replug the cable.
I did standard troubleshooting by trying every combination of cable and port, and have determined with confidence that it is a problem with the cable, and not my laptop or screen.
I just ordered a replacement cable, so I'm hoping it lasts for more than two years. That fact that one of mine failed after two years could have been a fluke, or these could have a high failure rate. I don't have a large enough sample size to be able to say.
I'm sorry to hear that, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com with a detailed summary of the issue you are experiencing and our knowledgeable Technical Support staff would be more than happy to assist. Thank you

Does the job
Now achieving native display resolution with several ASUS monitors hooked up to Mac Minis and a Mac Pro, something that wasn't happening with DVI adapters.
PROS: Inexpensive of course, it's Monoprice after all!
