Monoprice® Expands
to East Coast; Opens Major Distribution Center in Kentucky
New Warehouse
Will Better Serve the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast, Furthering E-tailer’s
Commitment to Exceptional Customer Service
Rancho
Cucamonga, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2015) Monoprice, the
leading provider of high-quality and affordably priced consumer electronics and
accessories, today announced the opening of a 103,000-square-foot warehouse in
Hebron, Ky. The facility will serve as a major distribution center for shipping
electronics to consumers in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast, and will
create 20 full-time jobs. Monoprice currently has a warehouse serving the West
and Southwest markets in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.—the company’s headquarters.
“We
believe a strong e-commerce and customer service model must be supported by an
exceptional distribution strategy,” said Bernard Luthi, president of Monoprice.
“With the new Kentucky warehouse, we’ll be able to process and ship orders
faster and more efficiently to customers residing throughout the Midwest and
the entire East. It’s our philosophy to constantly innovate and challenge our
competitors by delivering premium, affordable electronics products to
consumers. In addition to expanding into new product categories and upgrading
our e-commerce site for a more simplified search function and checkout process,
this new distribution center is another testament to taking our customer shopping
experience to the level customers deserve and expect.”
The new warehouse will house over 1,400
of the most in-demand products sold on Monoprice.com. Currently, the company
offers high quality consumer electronics and tech accessories, including
thousands of electronic cables, AV, pro audio and home theater equipment,
networking and IT gear, mobile solutions, PC peripherals and other tech gear,
at prices much lower than those of its competitors. The e-tailer collaborates
with leading manufacturing facilities to develop quality products, and offers
them direct to consumers through a best-in-class customer experience with
exceptionally low prices that eliminate wholesale and retail markups often seen
from major brand competitors.
As part of the newest expansion, Monoprice
will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony today from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. with the Boone County, Ky. Judge-Executive, Gary W. Moore; Congressman
Massie’s Field Director Bob Porter; the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce President
Trey Grayson; and Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed Vice President Wade Williams. The
event will consist of a breakfast reception, welcome speeches from Monoprice
and statements from local elected officials, followed by the official ribbon
cutting, a $5,000 donation from Monoprice to Northern Kentucky MakerSpace, and a
tour of the new 103,000-square-foot facility.
