As non-tech people, my wife and I were having problems with our new tv set (wall brackets, HDMI and DVI cables). We contacted tech support and a very polite tech person, Khalid, steered us in the right direction, even showing us a more budget-priced wall bracket. I ordered something only to realize that the items I ordered were discounted as 'THE DEAL of THE DAY". I contacted the online chat person hosted by salesforce.com and was told that the item had been shipped. I'd have to request an RMA, then return it. That was so stupid that it wasn't even wrong. The issue wasn't the physical item, it was the pricing a computer click. My experiences with Salesforce.com have been mediocre at best. I'd rate this interaction as a solid D.
I called the Monoprice customer line and was told by a very pleasant woman that once a price is locked into their system, it's fixed. She apologized. No apology necessary. Monoprice has an antiquated system. That's the problem.
Modest suggest: when someone stumbles into the Deal of the Day, offer the better price to the customer. Give him a Land/on/Chancecard Monopoly moment. Make the customer think she's the luckiest -player in the world.
Meanwhile this interaction felt like it sucked.

Great customer service!
I am really impressed with Monoprice's customer service department. I had ordered an item with a discount code and forgot I needed a second item in the order. I cancelled the order and reordered however it said I could not use the discount more than once even though I cancelled the previous order. I quick 3 minute phone call to monoprice's customer service was all it took. Sammy G. was very professional and took care of it within minutes. It's always great to talk to someone who isn't outsourced in India. Way to go, Monoprice!

Purchased small and inexpensive items and one ended up being defective. It was not worth the cost to ship back. Tjayi Malone in Tech Support at MonoPrice sent the replacement anyway and just made it right. That is great service and I appreciate it!
