Monoprice

I first learned about Monoprice a few months ago. I was a loyal Microcenter customer. I had a friend tell me about Monoprice and it only took me one visit to the website to become a fan and shortly after that I made my first purchase. I am still amazed on the quality of the products that I purchased. It makes me really think of how over priced other places like Best Buy are. I will only purchase from Monoprice. I laugh at the people who fill their electronic needs at stores like Best Buy. They might as well just throw their money in the garbage.

What you need at a great price

It all started in 2003, when I was looking for a 75&937 coax cable to hook up my new DVD player to my new AV receiver. It was my first foray into home theater and digital signal transfer. I scoured the Internet and found esoteric cables from companies with names of Greek gods or scary creatures outrageously expensive, accompanied by claims of sonic properties that defied the laws of physics. In reading some entries on a forum, I caught the mention of a relatively new company called Monoprice, and found their web site.

There I found very reasonably priced cables of all varieties, and I bought my first cable then and there, along with 100 feet of 12 gauge OFC speaker wire. Now, some 8 years later, I have never bought a cable anywhere else. As an audio/video enthusiast, I have, according to my wife, far too much gear, all connected together in three separate systems with Monoprice cables. I have HDMI cables, DVI adapters, 75&937 coax (RG6/U), TOSLink optical, balanced cables with XLR and TRS terminations, and lots and lots of premium RCA cables of different lengths. And, I bought another 100 feet of speaker wire and even a wireless sensor bar and component adapter cable for my Wii game controller.

I participate in a number of AV forums, and have converted many of my like-minded colleagues to use Monoprice for all their cable needs. Over the years, Monoprice’s product line has expanded enormously, and I typically look at their web site first when searching for electronics.

I’m really glad I found Monoprice. There is a to like about this e-commerce company that’s celebrating its tenth year in business. I particularly like that it accepts PayPal as well as all major credit cards and, if I want something quickly, I can get overnight delivery to Arizona relatively inexpensively.

I first heard about Monoprice from a technology podcast. So I was intrigued. I say this because the podcast would not plug anything unless they deem it reputable. So I checked Monoprice.com. I was impressed with everything from product quality to shipping options. I believe that Monoprice has the best deals and have become a customer for life.
