BEST ANSWER: ABS plastic of some type with metal wall bracket - they work great and have a lot of adjustability for angling the speaker anyway you want.

It's plastic - all of it. But well constructed and nicely machined. I highly recommend these mounts for small to medium speakers.

It’s a plastic material. I mounted some pretty heavy Klipsch Quintet 5.1 speakers without issue.

Are these mounts able to point speakers downward for 5.1.2 Atmos if mounted to a wall?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: They can tilt up/down 20 degrees, some geometry would need to be worked out to see if it would point down for an ATMOS configuration. This is shown in the dimensions diagram on the product's web page.

Yes, that's exactly what I use them for. Just be conscious of the weight of your speaker. I am using Polk TS-1 for my Atmos and it does great.

You could but it might not pivot enough to angle your speakers where you want them also be aware that they don’t hold all that much weight

Monoprice MP-65RT 6.5in and Ribbon Tweeter 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair), Black
BEST ANSWER: There is no standard mounting mp-65rt. You must either be willing to drill into the speaker cabinet or choose clamp-style mounting. Given the low price, I chose to drill. The rear panel of the cabinet is plenty strong and thick enough to support the speakers with 2+ wood screws.
I personally wouldn't choose a low-profile mount unless i was mounting them perfectly straight and level; because the speakers are large, a low-profile mount will severely limit the ability to aim them. A mount with more distance from the wall will allow the speaker to tilt a bit.
A love the sound quality, but these ribbons are more sensitive to sub-optimal listening positions. Point them toward the listening position and they are fantastic.

I dont think so because if you look at the back of the speakers they dont have a key hole or any type of mounting system. I used them to mount a pair of definitive technology satellite speakers.

Will these mount to an electrical wall box?

BEST ANSWER: Not cleanly. They are not the same shape as an electrical wall box. You could probably rig something up to attach the mount to a wall plate.

It's possible if you use a blank, unbreakable wall plate on the single gang box and install the speaker mount to the blank wall plate.

How well does this hold up monoprices own 5.1 speaker systems?
A shopper
on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In terms of holding, it does just fine - the surround speakers are relatively small and light. However, I have an issue with proper adjustment for my particular setup. Because my speakers are mounted close to the ceiling (approx 8' high) and behind my couch (approx 2' back), and because of the short neck on the speaker mounts, I cannot angle the speakers towards my listening position.

The speakers have a hole on the back getting in the way of the mount but it will hold them. I have had no issues with them since I mounted them, and they do not rattle either. They have held up pretty well for me.

Will these mounts hold speakers for the pioneer htp-074?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
That would depend on the speakers. So long as they would be less than 7.5 lbs and would have M5x12 size screw hole they would work with what comes on this bracket.

Great value.
Worked as advertised. The screws it came with worked great for my old Bose Acoustimass-10s that went up in the garage. The build quality and materials seem very good for a speaker this size/weight.

Great speaker mount for small speakers.
They are small and great for mounting small satellite speakers. They are made of plastic, and you can easily add an extra hole with a drill if you need to add a speaker mounting hole.

Great for mounting small speakers. This is a Vizio rear surround speaker using this mount.

Discrete and easy install brackets
These are great little brackets, especially for their 2.1 and 5.1 theater in a box setup. I use those with these brackets for dts:ma and atmos height speakers. My only beef is that I had to track the correct screw size to pair correctly. Neither bracket nor speakers came with large enough screws.

Hung on wall. The bracket slides up and off for easy maintenance and cleaning. Very happy.

Decent mounts for the price
The mounts are fine for the price. I like the that they are adjustable... They do have to be modified a bit to fit the Monoprice speakers, which seems a little strange to me, but that’s not too difficult with a little ingenuity. They also appeared to be a little flimsy, but that may just be me going a little overboard with everything I build. That said, I decided to install the mounts using toggle bolts instead of the little anchors that come with the mounts.

Maybe great for some, just OK for me
The mount is great, but the holes are for small screws, not the 1/4 x 20 thumbscrews used by many speakers. The existing holes made the mount block the speaker wire lugs

Great speaker mounts. I had to drill an additional mounting hole so they wouldn’t block the port on my monoprices speakers, but the plastic is easy to work with. I have 6 of these mounts in my living room for two different styles of monoprice speakers.
