Do you sell an extension so it can hang further from the ceiling? Or is the pipe NPT standard threading so it can be extended with standard fittings?

BEST ANSWER: The threading on the 3 that I received was not NPT, its a fine thread and standard NPT threads are too thick...

The Maximum Extension listed is 59.1", is this the measurement from the ceiling start point until the end of that vertical pole/tube or is it until the middle of the TV mount where the hole is located?

Could this hold a 70”?

BEST ANSWER: Could this hold a 70"..... Weight is not and issue for this mount. The weight of a 70" would not be a problem as this is a very strong mount. The bolt pattern on the back of the 70" is what needs to be measured. This mount will work with the 70" provided the mounting holes are no more than 20" apart top to bottom and 30" side to side. You might get it out to 32' but that would be pushing the width to the upmost max on this mount. This mount is made to hold two TV sets. I'm only using one. The rest of the parts I discarded. This is a quality mount. I have used this mount many times for installs. Hope this help.

It states that it swivels 360 degrees, which portion of the rod/assembly does that? Seems like they are all locked? Do you mean it swivels until the pins are put in?

Disappointed
Had a horrible experience with monoprice when i placed an order for 11 of those brackets and i was only able to pick up 4 because they didnt have all of them. The rest were gonna be delivered to my home....and i needed them the day i picked uo at will call. I will NOT continue purchasing from monoprice anymore

I enjoyed the use of the product but unfortunately my initial reaction was extremely disappointing and embarrassed. This is due to the fact that in the advertising of the mount nothing in its advertisement stated that it was a DUEL back to back ceiling mount. So because the homeowner was on a very limited time window to have the unit mounted, they were very excited and remained present for the installation, watching my every move. So I had to improvise and try to come up with an excuse for the remainder of extra parts in the box.... The customer had even asked if I had purchased two mounts because of the quantity of left over parts.

Big Screen Ceiling mount
I installed the mount to hold a 55" tv (I know it says limited to 50", but it DID work. The mount is for two tvs, but I removed the extra hardware, no problem. My biggest complaint is that the tilting mechanism is poorly designed....The pins that hold it together are of a smaller diameter than the holes they are inserted in. As a result, with my TV's center of gravity pulling on the mount, the tilt angle was not what I wanted and would flop around by probably ~10 Degrees away from what I wanted. NO AMOUNT OF TIGHTENING HELPED. What did help was to insert a NAIL, into the void on the above pins. A kludge, but it worked. One SHOULD be able to cinch it down to get ZERO movement....As in other comments, I had to drill some extra holes in the backing plates to align with my TV's internal attach holes. Oh well. The $23 dollar shipping fee also seems exorbitant.

TV Braket
Well worth the price. Compared to other units in big box store that were 3 times the price, and nowhere near as good in quality.
PROS: Good solid unit. Well built and great quality.
CONS: Only con might be that it is a bit heavy, so we added a safety chain to the unit, but all in all not a big issue.
