I have had this keyboard for several months now. I also own a few other boards in the M-Audio 25, 49 and 61. All of these are great midi keyboards - and the SRK 88 is right there with them in response, playability and sturdiness. I have read other reviews regarding the modulation and mine works fine.
I use Propellerhead reason and it found the board easily on set up. Obviously this is not an acoustic hammer weighted keyboard and you should not expect it to be. I am thrilled at the prospects of 88 key range using this in conjunction with Spectrasonics Keyscape... truly magic! Thank you Monoprice!

Great to have access to all octaves at once. Customizable buttons, knobs and switches make MIDI control easier.

Don't buy it, the velocity settings are inconsistent to the point where I had to turn them off, both on the pads and keys. Also interferes with my DAW, overlays on top of existing synth/instrument. RGB setting don't save, presets don't save.

Sent it in after tech support told me they could not help me. Promised to send replacement immediately after I shipped it out. Which was a lie, was told they wanted to "inspect" it for up to 7 days before they sent out a replacement. I am pretty sure they are going to try and "fix" it and send me my old one back.

Old one arrived with cosmetic defects. I do not care much about light cosmetic scratches too much so I didn't bother to return it. But it does add to my disappointment.

Pretty good build quality for the price though. Until they get their act together with this product line, STAY AWAY.

I have been looking for an 88-key MIDI controller for a while and this one has worked out perfectly. You should be aware that is just a controller so it doesn’t have a any sounds built in. I use it with my laptop and soft synths. The key bed is pretty close to the piano we have as far as the feel, which was something I was worried about prior to buying it. My only complaint about it is the pitch “wheel” (it is just a touch slider) doesn’t go back to zero when you release it. At some point, I will spend some time to configure the additional triggers to work with my DAW, but for now I am happy just to play it.
