i wonder if this will fix the issues with the first amp? hopefully the drive channel is louder and there’s a better spring reverb. id love to hear thoughts on anyone who can compare the two

Tube clarification question: The specs say this has four preamp tubes, but there are clearly five in the photo. Three preamp, one reverb, one phase inverter? Description says two 6L6 power tubes, clearly 4 in the photo. Other differences from the 50-watt head seem to be: a larger power transformer, 4-Ohm output (so a different output transformer), presence control, metal corners. Looks like the same short reverb tank.

SB100 100-watt. I wish these Q&A sections where specific to the actual product. I don't want to read about a combo amp or other variations. I want to read about this head for thoughts on it.
Why is there not one VIDEO posted on Social Media for this new head? It's the big brother to the 50watt unit I would think you would want people to hear what the differences are. When will some actual play-through be put up? I'm not considering a purchase until I see that?

Chassis requires modification
Monoprice Stage Right SB100 The amp sonically is very good even when compared to others above its price point.
However the durability of the internal chassis is very questionable.
Look at the product pictures an you will note that the power transformer is tilted to the right due to the chassis becoming deformed. This deformation is due to force acting on the chassis.
This indicates that the chassis needs to be modified. This modification can be a higher gauge metal chassis, re-enforcement of the chassis or a support attached to chassis that will rest on the cabinet. The support method should be the most cost effective. Change manual to allow tube replacement, currently manual states that no user serviceable parts are inside the amp. Publish bias adjustment recommendations and cautions. Publish schematic.

Very clean,doesn't break up. The quietest tube amp I've owned I'm using a power soak sounds good in both channels. Thickens tube sound.Monoprice people are great with all issues and warrenties.
