BEST ANSWER: I have a couple of these cables. The one I bought in August 2020 gets used about every other day and still works well charging a tablet. For the price they have been excellent cables.

I ordered mine on 7/19/22 and have used them since then. They appear to be very well made and I expect them to last "forever."

Have the problems outlined in the review "Big problems with these cables!" been addressed? It claims the "lock tabs" that hold micro USB cables into their connectors wear out after about 50-100 insertions.

BEST ANSWER: Then why are you blaming the cord for the way your son removes the cord from the device? The cord can handle well over 50-100 insertions. If you are going to yank it out, buy a more expensive cable and duct tape the ends to keep them from wearing down. The lock tabs are for normal people that plug and unplug their phone/tablet. If you yank if every time, thats your own fault, and so buy about 10 and replace it every 50 insertions. They are $1.36, or punish your son if he keeps yanking it out. My technicians that use this cable plug and unplug 10-12 times a day minimum and these have stayed solid for over a year. Fix your son or buy more cords, thats your answer.

I think this reply was for the original reviewer, not to this question.
You are correct, sorry for the confusion sir, I've been shopping here a couple times a year but this was my first reply, sorry I put it under the wrong area. I hope you liked the cables, all of ours have worked great so far.

I have purchased many of those and never had a problem. Only the many I gave to my son had issues but that is due to how he yanks, all charges he ever used, from his phone and tablet.

Its been a week or two since i got these cables, so it's too early to comment. But the built quality looks solid, so I am hoping that this issue won't come up.

I don’t even know what android auto is, but if it has the same connection size I don’t see why not. I bought mine for hooking up to a computer and powering small music equipment units. They work great.

How do these cables compare with the Premium USB-A to Micro B 2.0 Cable - 5-Pin, 23/32AWG, Black # 9762 or White #9965? I have always liked the premium cables because I found that they always fit better than 4868 or 5458 and had fewer problems over time.

Great!
My old connection was going to and I thought I had to replace my MP3 player. Just replaced the cord and everything works great.

Quality cable serves three purposes in travel.
This allows me to travel with a flip phone and my standard charging setup including this adapter cable for both flip phone and a usb based power bank / flashlight. One less card to rummage for. I predict great reliability.

USB extension cables.
A perfect cable when you just need a few more inches without excess cable hanging all over the place well put together that's why I needed for for my hard drive extensions.
