These sound great and look even better. I am using them with a 6 ohm receiver and they still have plenty of power.

At first hookup with my old speaker wires, 16ga standard speaker cable, I thought, "these are good, needs a sub tho".
Then just to make things prettier I made my own 14ga twisted cables and replaced the binding jumpers with some of the old wire (doubled), and wow, great sound! Both highs & lows increases greatly (mind you, I am a low volume listener). I don't "need" a sub anymore, but of course will connect it once I figure out where to put it.

I bought these on sale for a phenomenal price. I am using them in my office with a Marantz receiver and they sound great. I have a small room where traditional tower speakers will overpower the room however these seem perfect.

They have very good detail, air, and low-end extension. Are they as good as my other higher-end speakers? No, BUT for the price and the build and sound quality, I am wondering why you would spend more. You are getting 90% of what a high-end speaker would deliver at a fraction of the cost.

I purchased these speakers on sale for a very low price. They are at least worth the full price - warm, rich, clear sound, even when at high decibels. Honestly, can't say enough about them. Thanks for another great product Monoprice.

Excellent speakers. Seriously thinking of replacing my current JBL H/T speakers with Monolith speakers. They are every bit as good at a fraction of the cost.

These are excellent speakers! I purchased them on a steep discount from the normal price for $90 a piece to upgrade the main front channels of my Monoprice 5.1.2 system. I'm still using the height channels from those but moved the main connection to the T5s. They sound amazing and I haven't even redone my receiver's calibration yet. They definitely seem like they would be worth the full price. I strongly recommend this as a solid option for any space that can accommodate them.

I'm so glad I purchased a pair of T-5 's.The construction quality is excellent ,the overall finish is really good, and the sound from these units is beyond belief. I am now officially spoiled by these units, well done Monoprice!!

The photos don't do these speakers justice, and the sound is very good. On my system, they are added to a 24 speaker surround environment powered by three amps, and they hold their own next to speakers that cost twenty times as much. They have good weight to them and nice finishing touches like the high polish top and multiple options for feet. They each come with a zippered bag for storage or travel and have dual wiring posts for separately powering the tweeters. Loving attention to detail.

Purchased a pair of the Encore T5 speakers recently, great value and the speaker is well-built, they look nice with grills off and the cabinet seemes sturdy with no resonance. The outrigger base-stabilizers are some of the best I've seen/used, they do provide a solid foundation and these speakers are slender at 6.5" width. The item description of these speakers is quite accurate, they measure well graphically and are not hard to drive. For streaming music, they make a nice 2.1 channel system in a small to medium-sized room. I have used 3 or 4 different class D amplifiers with the T5 and they do sound good with some clean power behind them. Good bass extension with large port, the crossover points seem well-tuned. If they can be raised several inches, they will sound better if you can get the tweeter at ear level when seated. It would have been great if 3rd woofer was dedicated entirely to mid-range as a true 3 way, but not realistic at this price level. The packaging was excellent, packed very well with thick plastic and shipped promptly. They really are not that big, can be moved rather easily. Good all-around speaker, no complaints.

Really like these T5s. Run them thru my Sony A/V 590. Beautiful deep bass and midrange sound. Excellent addition to my 5.1 system.
