Why does my 15 inch v2 stops working it shows flashing red and green indicating light?

BEST ANSWER: I sent mine back and they replaced it. I think it has something to do with the amp. If you unplug it for about 30 seconds and let it turn completely off then plug it back in, it should start working again. Mine would work for about 5 min then start flashing again.

Try connecting to another bass outlet on your receiver or processor, that worked for me. I have a RMC-1L Processor (with L,C and R bass outs) and I changed it from the center bass channel to the right channel and that solved the same problem! So just simply try optional bass outlets (they all get the same bass signal)

I had a similar issue and still have it sometimes. It has to do with overloading the subs above 0db. I increased the levels on the subs to 6+db, then recalibrated so that the processor would not send more than 0db to the subs. Fundamentally the issue is that the subs are kicking into safety mode.

Sounds like it's just going into stand-by mode. If you're still having issues, try turning off using the switch on the back of the sub.

Is Fedex Freight usually good with these large Monoprice Monolith Boxes? My subwoofers delivery date has been postponed 2 times and its now about a week late so I am very concerned. Secondly if the box is damaged enough to cause concern should I then refuse the package? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: They were fine with my delivery, the sub came on a pallet and was well packed in the box. The sub itself was covered in a fabric wrap and styrofoam all around. Make sure you have a friend and a hand truck to get it inside, it weighs just shy of 150lbs out of the box.

Although the specs say speaker weighs 133lbs, the shipping weight is 220lbs. Mine was delayed a few days also, but it finally got here. It requires a special truck for delivering boxes that are that big (over a yard high and wide and tall) and weigh that much, so scheduling is a challenge. They did keep me informed though. I needed mine in the basement where I had built a theater, but to get there they would need to cross the lawn. He said that the dolly they use would never make it. Their dolly moves on pavement only. So it went intop the garage and I had to figure out how to get it to the basement.
The box would need a very large dent in it to reach the speaker. They really protected it in there.

Other than some cosmetic differences, recessed driver and such, what are the actual differences to product #24458, the other 15" sub?....specs seem exact?.... on that note, would it be better to get two of these and space them around the theatre, or 1 - M215? the logic being that the sum power of two single 15's is about the same as one M215.... does the splitting of location to two locations with single subs, out perform the dual driver in one location?

Splitting the subs to 2 locations doesn't normally mean more output but almost always leads to more even bass throughout the room if set up correctly with time alignment and proper placement expecially with more than one seating location. I can't speak for the m215s output though. Hope this helps

What are the power requirements for a 1000 Watt RMS amplifier? Does it need a dedicated circuit?
New User U
on Oct 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The power supply draws only what it needs. Based on actual amperage measurement, I have not seen this draw more than 5 amps by itself while watching movies and shows. If this is being used in a very large room, such that it's far enough away that your eardrums will not shatter, then it could draw enough for one 20A breaker. Realistically, this thumps and thunders *hard* at 5A, and I would not want to be near it if it's actually at its maximum volume.

It depends on what else you have on the circuit if anything. If it maxes around 2000w its a simple math problem you divide by the Voltage. In the US 120 meaning max it should use just shy of 17 amps. You should be fine it is the only thing on a 20 amp circuit. If you have other items it may/will not be enough.

I bought this for my son, so didn't hook it up myself. However, the manual says to use a mono cable to either the LFE or line-in inputs. Go from sub 1 on your receiver. The decision to use LFE or line-in into the sub might depend on how you have your receiver set up to cross over the bass. Hope this helps.

If your receiver has 2 subwoofer outputs, it is capable of driving 2 subwoofers. If you only have one subwoofer than just use one of the subwoofer outputs.
You can use a Y connector if your subwoofer has L and R input, or you can just use the L input since the subwoofer is not stereo.

Ive used it with 3 ports open and 2 ports opened. Your whole house will definitely "feel" the thunder regardless of the number of ports opened. On paper it says it goes lower with 2 ports open but it dosen't matter in my house. And its in a large theater room.

BEST ANSWER: If you like low frequency and thunderous bass, I’d go with the monolith M15 V2’s. The room I have them in is 18X23 and two M15 V2’s fills that room with so much deep bass that it’s unreal. It almost give you that movie theater feel.
I use to have dual klipsch 12” subs and it’s nothing compared to what these 15’s can do.
I’ve never had any experiences with 10” subs but I’ve always heard and read that smaller subs are tighter and puncher but if you want deep bass, definitely go with the M15 V2’s. If you can afford it, get two. Plus a lot depends on the size of your room too. If you have a small room, one will be enough.

The specs for the v2 state that distortion is 3% vs 1% for the v1, however the measurements are listed as identical between the v1 and v2. Additionally, frequency response is slightly different between v1 and v2 yet measurements are identical. Does the v2 actually perform worse? Also, the amp renderings look different, has the amp module reliability or performance been changed in v2?
nik g
on Jul 26, 2022
BEST ANSWER: The v2 performs slightly better than v1. The amp is exactly the same in both, albeit with the v2 having different internal DSP settings since the driver was improved for v2. The render differences are mainly from having a different graphic designer do the renders.

Thank you. Can you please speak to the published spec differences where the v2 shows distortion of <3% 20~100 Hz (90dB @ 1m) while the v1 shows distortion measurements at < 1% 20-100 Hz (90db @ 1m). Has the DSP been tweak to favor some additional output at the cost of great distortion?
Great Distortion? Either 1% or 3% would be 100% inaudible, and any measurement differences like that could be attributed to different measuring days, weather conditions, wind, etc. You will find subwoofers from other companies that have distortion into the high 20s or even low 30s.

Are the spec on the 15in v2 correct. the old 15in model showed 19hz-200hz 2-ports thx eq and 20hz-200hz 3-ports thx eq. The new 15in v2 shows 22hz-200hz 2-ports thx eq and 20hz-200hz 3-ports thx eq. Yet their extended eq are both 14~200Hz 2 -ports and 16~200Hz 3-ports. why the loss of low hz capability on the 2-port mode on the 15 v2 in thx mode only?

BEST ANSWER: There is zero loss in low output capability, if anything the V2 has slightly more output.

I have a M-15 V2 Powered subwoofer. So far I am really enjoying it. I am not an audiophile and have a question on wiring. I wired a subwoofer rca cable from the audio cabinet through the wall to a wall plate about 15 feet away where the sub sits and plugs in via RCA jacks to the wall plate. Is there a benefit to taking it from RCA to XLR inputs at this point or should I just let it use the RCA's normally? Thanks for any advice.

I love what I see
Good morning. I haven't fired my monolith 15s up yet but I will say, that I was very impressed with the packaging and handling: speakers were well insulated, and double boxed. I usually order things and the boxes are in horrible shape when they get to me. The two monolith 15's that I ordered were in excellent shape, inside and out. They are massive and beautiful to my eyes. I will update you guys once I get everything situated, connected, and fired up.

Brings the bass
First off, this sub is massive. It arrived double boxed with thick foam packaging, and then wrapped in cloth. While the outer box had seen some abuse during transit, the inner box and the speaker itself was pristine. This is my second monolith sub. I also have the monolith M-10 in my living room HT setup, since I didn't have the space in that room for a larger sub. The 10" is very impressive and punches well above its weight. The 15" monolith is in my basement and it literally shakes my entire house. I'm using this mainly for music with a pair of stereo speakers and it provides massive amounts of deep loud bass even in a huge open room. It's like being in a club, only the sound quality is better. It likes to play loud, and that's when you can really appreciate this sub. If you don't/can't play it loud, then consider getting one of the smaller subs, which are impressive in their own right, especially for the price.

Um...okay! This is really good?!?!?!
I've been designing, installing, and building home theaters for over 20 years, I really like this subwoofer. This thing has excellent headroom, and produces a tightly controlled bass even way down deep. The foam port adjustments help tune your bass to fit the acoustics of your room and preference.
Warning: ITS BIG.

Everything you need to know about this sub
This is a reference sub. I have a large living room with tall ceilings with an odd shape. It?s been hard for me to find a sub that would fill the space. First had a rep 15 ht predator which didn?t come close cause of the sealed design. Then a SVS pb3000 which was pretty good but I had to push it as hard as it would go. But the m15v2 digs deeper and fills the whole space no matter where you?re sitting. In parts of Godzilla king of the monsters I swear I was make the sub over extend so I went and checked and it was maybe 3/4? excursion at most and had a lot more to go. I love SVS and the 16 ultra model might be hair better but it?s more than twice as much. I?ve spent a lot of money trying out the best subs around and this is the best, especially for the money.
FYI settings I have are no crossover, thx level gain setting, thx eq (non extended).
Also make sure to give this a week or two break in period. Big difference from the first day.

Amazing Subwoofer. Get it!
Changed the whole sound of a Dolby Atmos home theater. Have definitive BP-9060 fronts and Definitive CS-9080 center, all with built-in subs. This hits lower and crisper making the sound so much richer and fuller. Even the wife was impressed. The downside is that it?s huge.
