I'm not a fan of multiple colors or color-changing modes. Can it be set to just plain white?
David H

BEST ANSWER: Yes! It comes with an instruction sheet that allows you to cycle through the colors and even set each individual key to whatever color you want. Lol! Don't misplace your inst sheet as you end up randomly pushing keys trying to find the right combo.

Yes. When following the led guide you’ll go through the colors one of which is white. You can set every key to that static color.

That would depend on if you can find a USB-C to ps2 adapter or USB-C to ps2 cable. Should work with either of those solutions.

Is this board hot swappable?

BEST ANSWER: In my experience they are not hot swap-able, they switches are soldered to the board itself - don't do what I did and literally rip out the switch.

One mode on my keyboard went out - Static Red backlight no longer comes on. Is there a way to reset this? The other modes in animation still work but are too distracting for me. And the red light does come on in other modes. I wish there was a way to set up any light in static mode.

How do you change backlight color for all keys? There is an individual mode but then you can't assign FN so you'll have one key without LED backlighting.

Okay mech keyboard
Cherry red, all keys lit up, all keys feel correct. Caps are ABS, the info isn't really in the description for that, would have probably been nicer to have PBT.
Probably should only get this on sale though, it's not a particularly well designed keyboard in terms of the backlighting and ease of use.
AFAICT there is no way to change the backlight color, you can get rainbow, breathing etc. of different colors, but if you want a static setup you'll have red. There is a convoluted method to enter a backlight mode and assign keys one by one, but then you can't get all keys since FN is unassignable, so you'll have one unlit key which just looks worse. There is no caps lock or scroll lock indicator, so that changes LED color by default when pressed, which isn't terrible or anything but it isn't mentioned anywhere either.
This could easily have been a 5 star keyboard with just more sensible setup. You get a useless card that has key combinations but is not explained at all, and there are no function key etchings like you'll see on other keyboards that utilize different combinations.
Really you only need maybe 5 setup keys, which usually are assigned to the arrow keys and maybe a few above them. You just need to cycle led mode, led color, and then brightness, so really it can be reduced to 3, but usually it's brightness up or down separately. This keyboard decided to not etch anything and has some 30+ combinations without being able to change backlight color.

Excellent Keyboard!
I purchased this when it was on sale back in August of 2022 and I primarily got it to accompany my laptop as I hate the keyboard & the mousepad that the laptop has. I got this unit because of it was small enough to take in a backpack. This Darkmatter keyboard is so solid and robust that you could fend off a mugger with it. Joking aside, I was/am impressed with its solidity. It's not a cheap keyboard. I often use it with my gaming PCs rather than the High $ keyboards I normally use. The keys are very responsive and the colors aren't intrusive. A good choice.

Satisfied
Very satisfied with the quality. I like the design, simple layout. First time using linear switch, and I like it more then tactile ones. only downside would be the pinging noise; not as bad as the cheap $20 amazon one that I've been using, but it is definitely present.

Perfect
I like this keyboard for gaming because it is smaller but that's because the design has gotten rid of what I don't need. It is solidly built, great key response, nicely backlit and I think this is going to last for a long time. This was a great buy I wish I purchased first, replacing another that was junk in comparison.

Great keyboard for the price
Real Cherry MX Red switches for this price is amazing. The keyboard seems well built. I don't really care about the LED backlighting functionality so I can't comment on that.
