Can I add a subwoofer later on to this bar?
Victor S
on Nov 28, 2022
BEST ANSWER: This question is asked and answered on the site, sort of. There is no easy way to add a sub to this bar. There is definitely no output from it to drive a passive or powered sub. If you could pull the audio off the TV that might work but that would greatly depend on your TV. If you truly want a sub I’d look elsewhere.

Hello, That is not the function we used when purchasing this equipment, but I don't see why not, with the 2 HDMI input it allows you to connect whatever other device you want to it.

Are there any mounting options for this soundbar or is it table-top only?

BEST ANSWER: I used a sounder mount like --> Monoprice Universal Floating Soundbar Mount Bracket for Freestanding or Wall Mounted 23in to 55in TVs, VESA Patterns from 200x200 to 600x400, Max Weight 22lbs. My TV is mounted on a pull out wall mount and I mounted the sound bar at the bottom of the screen. I also mounted my Roku on the back of the TV too. I used a single power cord to plug in TV, sound bar and Roku. I only had to "hide" a single power line behind the TV.

Yes. The SB-300 provides everything needed to mount the Soundbar on a wall with instructions. The mounting screws are positioned approx. 892mm apart. I have mounted mine on my wall with no problems.
Be aware that the power/input cables will likely hang down beneath the soundbar unless you have some external cable management.

The soundbar comes with wall mounting brackets that position the bar about 1.25” from the wall to allow cables to have room to be connected. It’s a nifty design that slots the soundbar into the hanger from the top - you can remove the soundbar from the brackets, connect your cables and then re-mount!

Can you pair this to Amazon Fire TV remote, so only need one remote? I don't see this listed under FireTV setup.

BEST ANSWER: Probably not. There doesn't seem to be any way to pair it with any of our remotes and no codes for Monoprice products with the universal remotes.
However, using the HDMI ARC function works really well if your TV supports it. There's no need to pair it to control volume with HDMI ARC and it turns itself off and on.

BEST ANSWER: See the fomo YouTube video on atmos. Even highly regarded atmos movies only have a tiny sections where atmos is clearly evident. Atmos is a new standard that tries to be future proof, but people who really need to start using it, the movie studioes, don't want to change and learn something new how to do, apparently. It is what it is, when you have a connected economy where everyone wants to focus on being comfortable and not focused on delivering the best for the customer or consumer. With all of the consolidation brought upon by the connected economy, where is the customer going to go?

I'm not the best at math, but the power output and the power input does not make sense. Why? This uses 30 watts, while outputting 100watts. That means the soundbar is generating 70 watts internally.

Easily Exceeded my Expectations
This is my first soundbar. I put it in a second bedroom at our house. It has the quality of sound I would have expected from any name brand in the area of $300 or more. In other rooms I have had mid-priced 5.0 or 5.1 setups for years from brands such as Pioneer, Polk, and Yamaha. Wanting to have a simpler setup in a bedroom, I went with this. I am very glad I did not spend more. I am not sure "budget" offerings from major brands would have even equaled the sound quality of this model.

Great sound, awful for mounting
The soundbar is amazing in terms of sound for the price (when on sale). But, it is incompatible with my Monoprice above-fireplace TV mount that includes a soundbar mount. So...I have it "attached" with a bunch of velcro cable ties.

Unbelievably good!
I wasn't expecting much as I got it during a sale, but boy was I wrong! I had this hooked to my TV in less than 3 minutes, and when I turned it on, it automatically detected my TV and made 100% improvement on my TV sound. The bonus about this is that I connected it to my phone and streamed a playlist and then changed to my SiriusXM, and this is fantastic! If you are looking for one with 2 HDMI inputs and BT and AUX, I highly recommend this one.

Excellent
Very solid sound for a surprisingly low price. Go for it.

Best I've found at the price
I've tried many soundbars over the years, at all kinds of prices; the SB-300 might be the best value. A lot of systems emphasize sound effects and music over voice - the Monoprice strikes a nice balance, great sound and you can still hear people talking (turn off the surround for voice only). I don't understand other comments about the display being too bright - there's a button for that!
