Do these keep track of energy usage like the other stitch outlets did?
Dan F

BEST ANSWER: No. It is controlled by the Stitch app via WiFi for turning on or off only.

I have the same question. Energy is tracked by the Stitch app for my other Stitch devices. So the question is does this device also have energy usage tracking when using the Stitch app?

I have one and nothing in doc about that. For $10, unlikely :-)

Does it work with 5ghz wifi and 2.4?
Mathew C
on Sep 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It only works on the 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency. As the other person mentioned, if you have a WiFi router that supports 5 GHz, it'll most likely support 2.4 GHz as well. One of the great benefits of 5 GHz is with devices that require a lot of bandwidth for doing things like streaming, etc. Stitch products send/receive very simple commands through WiFi, so transmission is usually very reliable at 2.4 GHz.

See the specifications, which say "2.4 GHz". All 5 GHz Wi-FI routers that I'm aware of support both.

Why no HomeKit? I’d be happy to pay more for that.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your feedback regarding Homekit. While we currently support Amazon Alexa and Google Voice Assistant, HomeKit compatibility is something we've considered but have yet to build into our Stitch product line up. Hearing it from users like you is always appreciated and something we truly take into consideration for future product planning.

In the event of power interruption, do these units power up in the previous state, or do they start up in the off state?
Kevin H
on Sep 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The Mini WiFi 10A Outlet remembers it's previous state when power goes out. When power eventually comes back on, it'll go back to the state it was last in.

Are there any physical devices that work with this? For example, a wall light switch or remote control that could turn a plugged-in light on and off.
Benjamin S
on Sep 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There are many ways to accomplish this using the Stitch app and other Stitch devices. For example, one of my favorite things to do is automatically turn ON my Stitch Mini WiFi 10A Outlet (which is connected to the lamp) when I open my front door. All I had to do was add an automation within the Stitch app to turn ON the Stitch Mini WiFi 10A Outlet when the Stitch Door/Window Sensor (product PID 33048/33049) is detected OPEN. There are so many combinations of automation and scenes you can create when you combine Stitch products together. I hope this answers your question.

Does programmed on/off scheduling work even if the device creating the schedule (e.g. smart phone) is turned off or otherwise unconnected? Are the on/off program stored in the switch itself? I would like to use this to turn on/off lights at home while away in a remote area without cell coverage.
Daniel G
on Oct 25, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Once the device (like your smartphone) sets the programmed on/off schedule, it's stored in the cloud which means it does not have to be turned on for it to execute. But this also means the on/off schedule is not stored locally on the switch itself which means if the internet goes out, the scheduling will not execute. Regarding your final comment, yes, you can absolutely use our Stitch Smart Outlet to turn on/off lights while away and even if your smartphone does not have cell coverage.

Great for Home Theater gear behind my screen.
It worked exactly as I wanted. I have my subwoofer amplifier behind my acousticly transparent screen. I plugged my amp into the mini WiFi outlet, set it up in the app, and paired it with my Echo dot and Logitech Harmony Hub.
Now when I turn on my home theater system I don't have to manually reach behind my screen anymore.

Excellent quality and a great price
We are using our STITCH as our Christmas Tree light switch. We have it connected to our Google Home and it works pretty slick.
It also has an app that allows us to control the switch.
It is amazing tech for $7. Very well worth it.

Easy to set up and use
Using the app, these were easy to set up and create an automation so that, for my purpose, is now completely hands off and I don't have to worry about turning on/off the holiday lights. Very happy with the purchase.

Works great - blocks the 2nd plug point
This is a great system - I have used it for years - this new plug-point is easy to connect with the appt - faster then previous versions - however it is poorly designed and blocks the 2nd outlet - plug point.

Works with Alexa
I hooked this outlet to a floor lamp in my office and Alexa.
I had to figure out how to add a Skill to Alexa, but then it was pretty easy. I can now say Alexa turn on/off office light

Malfunctioning outlet
Does not function properly. Outlet would be be powered off via app but appliance would still function normally. I plugged into another wall outlet same results.

Easy setup - works great.
Had no issue pairing it to my network. Works perfectly with Amazon Dot. Added it to an existing group of plugs for lighting. Great product.

Fine but slow
Interacts a bit too slowly with the door sensor for my desired use.
