Ferrite Cores (1 PAIR) for 22AWG HDMI Cable

Ferrite cores are great enhancements to any electronic signal transmission line. These magnetic materials absorb signal interference, reduce signal errors and improve signal integrity. Unfortunately, factory molded on versions for large gauge cables tend to be disproportionately large and interfere with each other in side by side connections. These extremely effective, yet very compact snap-on versions accomplish the same task without getting in the way.

Note:  These won't fit the 24AWG or 28AWG.

Why aren't people just buying the 22AWG version if you are worried about tight fit? Also do either of these snap onto "standard" power cords? I would like to add these to my various components 110v power cords.
    Steve B on Jan 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. If the power cord will fit the ferrite core then it should be no problem at all. This ferrite core is designed to fit a cable with an 11mm OD. I hope this helps.

good for fat heavy-duty HDMI cable
I pulled a bunch of 25 and 50 foot HDMI cables through the walls of my house and then use these on the ends of the cables. Worked fine, but I saw no real difference in video quality with or without these cores.

    PROS: easy to use

CONS: sometimes hard to pry open, impossible to do one-handed.

    Tight but fits
Another review said they couldn't get them to fit the 22AWG cables, but it does work... it's just difficult.

Don't try to use any tools other than your fingers to get them to snap because you'll crack the core.

    PROS: * they *do* fit item 2804 50ft 22AWG CL2 Standard HDMI® Cable - Black

CONS: * do not try to tighten with pliers! you'll crack the ferrite!
    * difficult to get them to snap together with just your hands

    Just as described
To contradict another review, They must have changed the item since I only ordered one of these and got a pair just as described which allows a core on each end. In other words one of these covers one cable with a complete core on each end. I saw another review saying to order 2 which is not true for me.

    PROS: good easy to install

Great quality product! Just so people know, 2 pair is need for one cable (one on each end). 1 pair is 2 split ferrites to wrap the cable on one side. I had to learn the hard way. Still...Good Stuff!

Got rid of defects (sparklies) on a 75ft cable
I am driving a Sharp LCD TV with a Mac mini from a different room using the Monoprice 75ft 22AWG HDMI cable (item 2893). I was seeing defects when displaying black on the left hand side of the screen (white sparklies). I tried with another source device and the defects went away, so I blamed the output power from the Mac mini and figured I'd need a signal amplifier.

I went ahead and picked up these ferrite cores at the same time because they were cheap and I'd heard they might help. I put one of these on on the source end and immediately the problem disappeared! This was before even unplugging the cable. I was very impressed, and now I have an extra HDMI amplifier. Next time I'll just buy these.

PROS: Actually work, got rid of my sparklies
Snap on over existing cables without moving or unplugging them

Ferrite Cores for 22AWG HDMI Cable
Great Price! Great Product! I will be a returning customer.

    Thank you

    PROS: Great Price! Great Product!

    CONS: None

Got rid of sparklies on a 25ft cable
I saw that another reviewer said it helped with the sparkle problem. I have a new projector that also produced sparkles on blueray from a 25 foot standard-speed hdmi cable that I meticulously ran under the floor in the crawlspace of my house and dreaded changing out the cable for a highspeed hdmi. So I tried these hoping not to do the snake belly crawl again and they worked! no more sparkles!

PROS: I ordered 2 pair because a reviewer said a pair was the 2 halves of one ferrite core. But no, one pair means one core for each end of a cable. So now I have an extra pair. Easy to snap on a cable.

CONS: Are loose on my 24 awg hdmi cable but I got them this big because so many complaints of the 24 awg being too tight to secure, so there you go. But they worked!

i guess they work.... will have to try on diffrent type of cables since it will cost bout da same (shipping) to pay to return them

CONS: wont fit around flat 22guage hdmi PID 6130

Did not fit the cable they were matched to
These cores are too small & don't fit the cable they were sold with per the website.

CONS: the cores did not fit the cable they were sold with thru the website.
