Was gifted some Edifier R1280DBs but was looking for more bass and saw that this was on sale so I gave it a shot seeing that it was reviewed favorably given its price point. Had to hook my setup to an external USB DAC/amp because plugging the 3.5mm directly to my PC resulted in a constant hum/buzz. For what I paid for this subwoofer, it blew away my expectations and was exactly what I was looking for to upgrade my desk setup.

these are amazing for those of us who dont have a bunch of space.. and for the size they hot hard and low.. very tight controlled bass one of these is good for up to about 1200 cubic ft but the real winner is when you get 2 or 4 for each corner.. i have had SVS subs.. while good.. this is just better. and these can be had for around 200 USD several times a year.. at that price its an absolute no brainer.. buy 2 and thank me later..

smooth controlled bass.. and with room gain (corner placment) it can see an f3 of about 19-20hz.. so as low as any meaningfully audiable sound in movies.. absolutly amazing

if you have 1 this is easily an 8/10 (10 being perfect and requiring fixing nulls and sound treatments in you room and professional placment.. use of REW...)

2 of these or more easily 9/10 (perfect sound still needs work and these are capable) for the price absolute 10.

i own 2 in a 1200 cubit foot room.. and im flat to 18hz.. i previously had a 21' sub pushing 3000w program and im telling you these are smaller and i dont miss my larger custon setup at all.. and this cost over 1500$ less..

do your self a favor.. buy 2.

WOW. I was blown away by the quality of this subwoofer for the price. I am using it in a room around 22 by 24 feet with high ceilings and wood walls. This sub provides good bass despite many sites saying I need a monster of a sub. Auto sensitivity is a little weak, I needed to turn up the AVR sub level up a bit.

Great sub and hits hard for my needs. Of course my wife hates it but what do you do. lol

I bought this to compliment a 5.1.4 setup, with the 4 Atmos satellites and other sub composed of the Monolith 5.1 speaker system (well, I used all but 1 of the 5 satellites). Teamed up with a Puoneer VSX-LX505 and Pioneer's Andrew Jones towers, bookshelf speakers and center, I'd be hard pressed to find such a good sounding setup, especially so affordably. And they all look great together too. Even at just 8" each, these subs are awesome, especially with two. Living in an apartment with only moderate space I couldn't swing the funds or space for a larger sub. Two THX 8" subs suit my setup well though!

I have purchased two of these subs. I absolutely love them! I have two 12" Polk Audio subs in my current set up but wanted to add more to even out the bass. I connected one of these subs and when I played a movie that I am familiar with and has a lot of bass, I immediately noticed a huge difference in the bass response. It was "tighter" sounding. Not as muddy. Also, these little subs hit lower than my 12" Polks. The sound was way better even before I did room calibration! I added the other Monolith sub to the opposite corner (diagonally) in the room and WOW!!! The bass is killer now! I tried these with and without the port plug and I prefer the port plug in. Also, I'm using EQ 1 because it hits the lowest frequencies that this sub is capable of producing. For reference, my room is 13' x 14'. Four subs is overkill for my small room but I have them each at a lower volume equally near each corner so each seat has good bass. I plan on buying two more of these subs in the future to replace my Polks.....that's how good I think these are.

Imagine my surprise when I found another reviewer who had the same idea as me! I was looking for a compact, high-quality desktop audio solution. On their own the T0s don't have enough low end for my tastes, but with this sub I am beyond satisfied.

My office isn't huge (100 sq ft) and this combo fills the room perfectly. Any bigger and I think the sub might overpower the speakers.

I own a set of Vanatoo T0s and wanted to get a sub to help supplement their bass. I previously owned a 10" JBL sub, but it was a little too large for the space I needed. While searching for an 8" sub, I found this, but there were not a lot of reviews on it... I saw one review of this sub on Monoprice and there was a complaint about this having "not much bass at all." There is a fairly large YouTuber who reviewed this with the speaker package, and he found this sub was the real winner of the set. He even said it was hanging with subs double the cost or more.

Overall, I have been very impressed with the sound and bass output. I run this in a smaller room, and it is perfect for my needs. Nice clean bass with a good amount of adjustability. The laws of physics apply to subs, and this is no exceptions. You put this in a large living room, you will regret your purchase. If you buy this for the correct space, think study or bedroom, you will probably be happy.

Nice deep bass in a small package. I'm using in a 2.1 setup for a computer. Definitely best with the port unplugged and in EQ1 to go nice and deep.

Not much bass at all. Bought two to run in parallel. The bass Is so low I had to double check to make sure they were on.
