It does not state on the packaging what type of battery it contains. I can say that the device does work quite well.

What is the purpose of the button on the side? Doesn't seem to have any purpose.

BEST ANSWER: It's to check battery level, LEDs on opposite side indicate battery charge. I also think it starts the charge cycle when you plug a device in.

Will the output on this be active while it is being charged? I am wondering if this can be used like a UPS for a Raspberry Pi.

A lot of power!
Well...I will say it is a lot heavier than I expected but it is quite a bit of power. Haven't had any problems yet. I am using it right now to power my Wyze camera..
I plan to use this as emergency backup if I lose power.

Great little unit.
Pleased that it took care of two phones for a whole weekend. Smaller ones would not have taken care of that. Compact but a little heavy for hiking.

Works Well
So far works very well. It can charge several devices before having to be charged. I would recommend.

Weighty unit
This unit certainly does the job, but it is too heavy. I guess there is a trade-off between capacity and weight, but I was hoping for something a little easier to carry around.

No indicator
Strangely, there is no indicator of any kind. You'll have to guess whether it is charged and ready for action. Without this feature, it is an expensive paperweight IMHO. Mine is going back..

Power pack charger
Seem to be a good product well made, I charged the unit and have not had any need to use it as of yet, I buy from Monoprice because I find they provide a good product at a fair price.
