Do you need to press a button to begin charging, or will it start automatically when a device is connected? I'm looking to use this in a piece of luggage that has a built in external USB port for charging and don't want to have to open the luggage to press the button.

How do I charge without wall adapter.? Cord does not fit Apple wall adapter ?Help
A shopper
on Aug 10, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The Power Bank is charged by using the cable that comes with the Power Bank into any standard USB wall adapter, including the standard Apple USB wall adapter. If you are using a mini USB Apple wall adapter, you are going to have to invest in a standard USB to have it work with the Power Bank.

Use a wall charger that has a micro or Type C coed tip into the correct port which is marked.. you can. Ot use an apple adapter because there are not any apple ports on the power bank.
You can use the power bank to charge your
Apple product by attaching the cord onto outlet 1 or 2.

Using a standard USB charger takes too long to charge this power bank. You will be much better off using a high speed USB charger (also known as a quick charge power adapter), like is used on the new android cell phones with a USB-C connection.

Any micro usb adapter will work to charge the power bank. Any block or usb capable power strip will serve to connect you to power source.

Can this be used as a power source for a heated vest?
A shopper
on Feb 4, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It's rather thick, but if you have a place like a pocket to put it in, it should work fine. My wife got a heated scarf, and it was too large for it. I have used this to power Monoprice's inexpensive USB powered dashcam.

Yes it can. As long as the vest uses a usb A or C plug. If it uses anything else there are adapters that can be used as well, but those can be difficult to find.

It's to check battery level, LEDs on opposite side indicate battery charge. I also think it starts the charge cycle when you plug a device in.

Great performance so far!
Intend to use mainly for travel. I tested it on a Google Pixel 6- and it charged it 4 times from 40-50% level- and it still had '2 lights' remaining on.

Highly recommended
It came well packaged and pristine and works very well. I like how the power display is positioned on the side. The size is impressive as well and I do like that it's not made of mostly plastic.

Can't go wrong
I've always liked their power banks. I've bought one in the past and it last many years. I've also bought aukey and anker and they turned out to be garbage so I'd rather pay a little more and stick to monoprice.
