Does the "Fn" key generate a standard keycode when pressed, so that it can be remapped through third-party software? Or does it solely modify the behavior of other keys within the keyboard?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the Fn key works on the hardware side and modifies other keys. It does not generate a keycode by itself so remapping software won't be able to reassign it. All the keyboards with Fn keys that we have tested works in a similar way so it might be hard to find a keyboard with a Fn key that can be remapped. Thanks for checking.

This keyboard is obviously a backlit keyboard without the backlight. Is it possible to install backlighting?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately we would not sell anything or have any tutorials on how to install backlights onto keyboards.

Decent, if on purchased on discount.
Solid weight and build, reasonably tactile.
Arrived with slightly warped casing, will not sit flat, wobbles. Agree with other reviewers who suggest dark grey lettering on black backgrounds is a poor design choice.
Do not purchase at full price.

Decent performance, inexpensive, no LEDs
This keyboard feels nice to use, and it's one of the only mechanical keyboards I could find that wasn't bogged down with a bunch of flashy gamer features -I really didn't want a keyboard with RGB LEDs. That said, it does have some issues. The shift key and spacebar are really squeaky. Also, the T key doesn't always register a keystroke even when fully actuated, and I'm not sure why. It's only that key, and it's only about 10% of the time.

Excellent, Basic Keyboard Without the Unwanted Frills
Fantastic mechanical keyboard for the price! Not too loud either due to brown switches, but still loud enough to give the clicky clacks you expect from a mechanical keyboard.
It’s a plug in and play keyboard. No software downloads, no weird functions, etc. I do wish it had backlights on the keys, though.
I recommend this to anyone wanting to make the jump to a mech keyboard and wants something basic, without features such as backlights, other modes, proprietary software, etc.
If you are wanting a gaming keyboard twice the size with alternate functions and the like, you might want to consider something else. But for those who find clogging software on peripherals bothersome, this is a great low cost option.

Types well. I like the clicky switches. My only slight gripe with it is that the key labels are dark grey on black, making the contrast very low in low light situations. Just a nitpick though.

Cheap, decent keyboard
Keyboard is fine. One of the stems on the return key (not on the switch) was broken on arrival causing the return key to not work consistently. I fixed it myself but that's enough to dock a star.

Good for the price
Pretty well built, key switches are decent (if you like brown ones), and it's got a decent heft to it. Cheap - this is a real good deal on a mechanical keyboard, and would be a great low-cost option, spare keyboard, or entry into the world of mechanical boards.
Cons: Keycaps are shot for backlighting but this doesn't have it - hard to see in the product photos but it makes the markings on them harder to read. (A fairly minor issue, and the caps should switch out fine with others - I was able to swap them with another keyboard that also uses Otemu switches. Or, get one of the other ones that has backlights.) The cable routing under the keyboard is kind of hilarious in its uselessness - the cable comes straight out the back of the keyboard, and so you'd have to loop the cable back around and under the keyboard to use the channel in the bottom of the case, so probably best to ignore that bit of it. These are both pretty minor things.

Fairly good keyboard for the price!
Pretty good keyboard outside from the fact that it was designed to have LEDs but they are not part of the keyboard. The keys feel extremely nice and they are fairly quiet. I have to type a lot as an engineer and this keyboard makes my coworkers hate me a little less!

Good but with one flaw
The biggest issue as people have mentioned is that because it’s the same as the backlit keyboard minus the backlight the keys are clear on black which makes it nearly impossible to see. So you better be good at touch typing. But the action is good and for 30 dollars the only thing that would make it better is in fact white over black keys and maybe a USB pass through.

Even in the daytime, the keys ARE NOT VISABLE. They used a dark grey key lettering with a black background *face palm*. I can't see anything. First time customer...
