Does this adapter allow you to extend a Mac laptop display to two separate monitors (rather than just mirror the display)? I want to be able to plug in my Macbook and have dual monitors.

can I use this unit at my panasonic projector hdmi port allowing me to 'run' two hdmi lines from one hdmi port on my projector to two different sources?

Does this support resolutions lower than 4K ie will it work and auto detect 1080p screens on a hdmi to dvi cable?

I have a older MacBook Air 2014 laptop and want to know if this adaptor would be compatible to this model to run two display?

BEST ANSWER: I do not think so. Physically, I believe your Air thunderbolt uses the mini-displayport connector while this device uses a USB-C connector. Electrically, I do not think the computer would support the interface or data rate that this adapter needs.

They work great!
I have two 1080p monitors attached to each of my two adapters. The both work flawlessly. They sure do suck up a lot of power, but I've never had a different brand or model of adapter to compare against so I don't know if their power usage is out of normal range

Good product, super easy setup, consistent with explanation.
Best part about this product is that it works exactly as described. In this digital age, you can often purchase something online and get surprised by the difference between concept and reality. However, this perfectly allowed my monitors to sync with my MAC.
