Does it come with an option to bolt it into the work surface?
A shopper
on May 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It can be bolted to the work surface in one of two ways.
The clamp bracket at the base can be bolted to the side of (an appropriate) work surface (Horizontally).
Or by removing the clamp bracket and there are 3 threaded holes that can be used to bolt to the work surface (Vertically).

I wouldn't recommend as there is a lot of torque created by the wait of four monitors. I had to reinforce my wooden desk in order to prevent breaking of the edge.

For the 4 monitor mount, could 2 monitors be facing in 1 direction and 2 in the completely opposite direction? I would mount it in the middle of the work surface with a person on either side. According to the picture, it looks like that would work.

BEST ANSWER: That could work, but one side would have the monitors higher than the other since the arm sets can't occupy the same space on the vertical pole.

Yes, The arms are mounted on a tubular center column, you can just spin one set around. One pair would obviously be lower than the other.

Is it adaptable to 4-32 inch monitors?
A shopper
on Nov 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t think so. I have two SonicView 27’s and there is just enough stretch to angle them slightly. At full straight out, there is only a couple of inches between them. Since I only have two 26’s at the time, I can’t address the height.

Doubtful - I've got 2x27s nearly touching my desk (bottom is about an inch above) with 2x24s on top with barely any gap and the top rung all the way up top (flush with the top of the pole).

Do the VESA mounts get attached to the monitors first, then clip to the arms? Or are the mounts permanently attached to the arms and the monitors have to be screwed to the VESA plates while they are mounted to the desk?
New User U
on Mar 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It appears that the VESA mounts are permanently attached to the arms. One may be able to disassemble the hinge and detach them, but I suspect, given that it is a friction mount, that this would be difficult.

Can I order a shorter mounting clamp that would make your mounts compatible with the SecretLab Magnus desk?
Total clamp length needs to be around 100mm or less.
https(:)//secretlab.co/products/magnus-metal-desk
I suppose I could take a hacksaw to the existing clamp with the lower bracket screwed to the highest position on the clamp, but I think the bolts might still be too long to fit well.

Great value, great product
This is a really good quality monitor stand and only a bit more expensive than the two-display unit. The only thing it really lacks is the ability to rotate a display back and forth between landscape and portrait orientations; but the display can be mounted either way and left there without a problem. It is very sturdy, and as long as the desk/table you are mounting to has a lip along the edge, it will work very well.

Very good support (albeit a little short)
The support is very sturdy and feels well made. so far it is serving me very well. The only issue I have with it is the length of the center column. That is too short for my use case by roughly 3 inches.
I was able to go around the problem by making an adapter for the monitor that shifts the monitor up by 5-6 inches, which means that the point where the arm connects to the central post can be lowered a little bit.
All works well, but I gave it 4 stars because I should not need to go through this kind of effort and it was easily preventable with a slightly longer center column.
