Can you remove the top shelve?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it attaches to the horizontal bar that the tv bars slide on, it uses simple bolts washers etc. I never installed it and the stand functions exactly the same. The stand is a good purchase, you won’t be disappointed

Yes you can remove the top shelf. If you don't want the top shelf, just don't install it when you put the cart together. Or If it is already attached. Just remove the (2) screws that keeps the shelf in place.

can the bracket stay on the tv when tv is removed from the stand?
A shopper
on Sep 12, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It depends on where the mounting screws are for the TV's base which I had remove from my TV to get the screen to pitch down more. I would assume it would not be an issue with most TV brands on the market, generally the screws for the base are on the very bottom of the TV so they can still be accessed even with the mounting bracket on. The mounting bracket sticks out about 4 or 5 inches on the back of the set, so the set can't be pushed all the way to the wall where it is placed.

TV bracket arms are attached to your tv with 4 bolts. This allows tv to be lifted off the base easily when not in use or you would simply remove the 4 bolts if you want brackets to stay attached to the stand instead of tv. Use ours outside with a waterproof cover around 5he tv when not in use. Love the stand and using it with a 55" TCL mini-led.

Yes. There is a long screw that holds the attached TV to the unit. The piece that is attached to the TV hooks onto the unit itself. Unscrew the screw and carefully lift the TV with the hooked bracket off the unit.

How low can you mount a 70 inch TV? From bottom of TV to floor? Can unit be modified to mount low by drilling new holes in stand? Thanks for any input!
Robert S
on Dec 26, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can drill new holes, but there are already large cable management holes that the spring tabs can rest on. Instead, you may need to drill holes so the VESA bracket can sit as high as possible on the poles. Caveat: you will not be able to use the included shelf and must not install the rubber grommets for the cable management so that the telescoping poles can reach all the way to the bottom. Depending on where your VESA holes are, the lowest I could get a 65" TV was 20" from the ground

Funny you should ask this, I built 3 of them always trying for height now lows. So I took a look at mine here you can easily drop the poles the TV mounts to down into the riser poles to the point the monitor is basically on or inches above the wheel/bottom stand. You could do that with out drilling new holes.

BEST ANSWER: Look at the picture. See those two vertical bars with all the holes in them? They mount to the back of your TV and then hang on the wide metal plate behind them. I purchased this item and began assembling it last night. I'm stuck on the final steps: 7a and 7b — where attachments get made to the TV. The instructions seem incredibly vague for these steps. If I understand correctly, different configurations are shown that incorporate one or more of the spacers provided, but there is no guidance given to determine which configuration is the best or what factors should come into play in deciding which configuration I should settle on. Any advice?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The wheels would not fall out of their housing or fold in if lifted. However, the cart is not intended to be lifted. If transporting the cart, I would highly recommend removing the TV from the cart and putting it in its lowest position.

can the LCD screen be mounted in the portrait position? considering this as part of a solution for display of event schedules at conventions, where landscape viewing is not efficient.

How do you adjust the height? Can it be adjusted up and down easily by one person? Does the height adjustment require any tools?
Matt J
on Nov 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There are three height adjustment choices, of which two would require some reassembly and the third requires the TV be lifted while making a simple adjustment.
The first is the VESA mounting plate for the TV, the second is the bracket on which the VESA mounting plate hangs from the stand and the third is the extension of the inner poles.
The third method is possible for single person with sufficient strength and balance who can safely lift their TV, VESA mounting plate and the two inner poles with one hand while pressing each of the locking mechanisms with the other.

BEST ANSWER: The VESA mounting plate which attaches to the TV and mounts on the stand with hooks looks almost exactly like the mounts used for wall mounts.

Great item. Works as described. I had an issue with FEDEX delivery, but Monoprice customer service was great.

Monoprice?s Rolling TV Tilt Stand
After problems hanging curtain rods with fairly heavy drapes, my go to solution became screwing lengths of two by fours across two or three wall studs. This would now be a base for anything I wanted to securely mount anything, anywhere on a wall. I?ve used this technique for wall mounting a tv, and it allowed placement even if a wall stud is not available directly behind the tv.
This stand allows identical placement, but with more flexibility, mobility and not making permanent changes to the wall. I was so impressed with the first one, I got two more (for two more TVs).
Also the small stand (shown attached above the bracket) can be attached below it, albeit on the left or right side. The mounting bracket can be attached slightly off center if any more clearance is needed.
Putting this together brought back memories of the Erector Set I had when I was six.

Great little stand for the price
over all a nice little stand. Reason for 4 stars was the top shelf would not work with a 65 inch TV.
Rolls easy and the locking rollers work well.

Decent Design-- Instructions difficult to read & Missing Bolts
I will continue to buy mounts and gear from Monoprice in spite of my experience this time. Unfortunately, I had a few key missing bolts and extras of others. Additionally, I found the instructions very difficult to follow based on the size of the diagram. As a result of missing bolts, I've yet to complete the stand.
