BEST ANSWER: I have been using this filament at 200 degrees with a 0.4 mm nozzle. The layers are clean and well defined. Very consistent.

This also depends on settings or even your printer. Alot can factor into layer lines

Honest question - How is this stronger than regular PLA? Even the filament comparison sheet here shows it being less strong (tensile and bending)... I would agree that it is more impact resistant, is much more ductile (350^ more elongation at break) and like 1% more stiff than regular PLA, but am I missing something? Not sure that I would call this PLA +, but maybe moreso Ductile PLA or Impact Resistant PLA...? Monoprice Reference: https://downloads.monoprice.com/files/flyers/Filament_Comparison_Chart_180416.pdf

BEST ANSWER: Standard PLA has tensile strength of 65MPA at only 8% elongation.
PLA Plus breaks at 29% elongation (that's a difference) and reach the tensile strength of 60MPA when it breaks.
If you need more tensile strength so go with PA.

Does monoprice pla plus work in bambu lab ams?

BEST ANSWER: I don't have AMS, but if you can put this onto the compatible spool, I think it would work. I don't think you should count on it without a trial run.

What is the spool width for this item? You don't seem to include that in the specs for the various filaments, but it is important to know whether or not it will fit in my printer.

Objectively good
I have been trying to burn through old filament and came across a roll of this stuff that's about 4 or 5 years old (at least). It's printing significantly (almost flawlessly) better than even relatively new filaments only a few months old. I'm not even printing within recommended settings.
Good stuff!
Good stuff!

Great results from a roll several years old, even in less than ideal circumstances.

This filament has done well for my non-stop printing needs
I need a black filament, and I usually pay quite a bit for 1kg at about $20, but I was able to snag these black 1kg rolls by monoprice for very very cheap and they have printed so consistently. Ironically, they have printed with less issues than even more expensive Duramic I usually buy on Amazon. What a win! As Terminator said, Ill be back!

Very good for $14 a kilo
Really liked it
Price is good, got tired of buying random stuff on sale. Having repeatable consistent plastic is nice. I think this is the same stuff as the inland brand but I could be wrong

A couple of the rolls bound up
While the filament works well enough especially at the price point I had two rolls out of 5 that bound up when unwinding ruining a couple of prints. I could not clear the bound part as it was a function of the companies winding equipment. I notified the company but did not hear back from them and so the filament gave a good print and was relatively forgiving I would have to give it a thumbs down because of the binding issue on two of the rolls.
