How hard i installation , can you install it without tools ?

I opted for option 2 which ismore stable but it is permanent and i used a drill to make holes for the base.

Install is easy if you use the included desk clamp but you will need a screwdriver to attach monitor to VESA plate. If you bolt the mount to the desktop, you will need a drill and wrenches to attach the bolts.

BEST ANSWER: I had the same problem. Locate the silver Allen head screws at the elbows on the mount arms. Turning one way will strengthen the arm, the other way will weaken it. My arms each hold up a Dell 30”

I bought two of these to set up a four 27" monitor pyramid but there is not enough travel to stack them that vertical. It may work for a smaller monitor.

It's "possible", but the center height of the arm for the top monitor is only at 17" which means you'd need two very small monitors and the bottom one would still be very close to the desk surface.

You can mount 2 x 34" monitors in portrait mode (vertically) side by side. There is not enough arm length to mount them in landscape mode (horizontially) one above the other.

Yes it will, I have an older heavier color accurate nec 27 attached to one of my arms. However note that unlike the height adjustment, the tilt adjustment is based on tightness. I had to basically crank mine down all the way to keep it from moving, so that really removes tilt as an adjustment if that's important to you, like to manage glare during the day.

The monitors I mounted are 23" HP LCDs and these arms hold them no problem. I can't imagine these arms not holding your 27s. If you find them dropping or raising just adjust the gas springs with the included allen key.

You may want to double confirm on HP's website for the weight of monitors without the stand. I have 2x HP ZR2740w 27" LCDs, each weighs 17.6lb, and they work fine with this mount.

If your glass desk has a 2 inch hole in the back to mount the base to, then yes it should work fine. I love the stand as it lets me swivel up down and sideways and this allows me to fix or adjust the connections in the back without finding a way to go under the monitor...Make sure your monitors have vesa ports or holes in the back that fit the limited bracket holes on the mount. I had one that sat on the desk and liked it well until I bought this one. But it is an option if you do not have hole and the desk is against the wall. Good luck and remember the cable hiders work weird until you get used to them,,,bottom slides forward and front one pops off.

You can probably clamp this to your glass desktop, but I would add a thin strip of felt or rubber or something between the clamp and the glass so as not to scratch or crack the glass.

My desk only has a 7/16" underlip on the back edge. Would this clamp work on the narrow of an underlip?

Mine has a 1-7/8" lip which leaves a little of the plate exposed, but it works fine. I wouldn't try it on a desk with less than at least 1-1/4" lip so that over half the clamping plate presses against the desk. But, if you can drill a hole in the desktop surface, you can mount the stand using the grommet mount that's included.

It will be able to clamp onto the desk, but I would suggest adding a 1/2 piece of wood under the lip to sturdy it and add strength to the lip you are clamping it too. Cut it to fit against the desk, not wider than the edge of the lip and to extend a few inches to either side of the clamp under the lip. You can also use a piece of felt between the desk and the piece of wood.

That is thin. I would add an additional piece of wood to thicken the location to at least 3/4 to 1 inch in thickness.

Can you stack two 34" 21:9 displays with this mount? I have two Dell U3415W that I want to stack because I do not have the space to mount them side by side.
I would prefer something that can clamp to my desk as it's a shallow desk and want the space the stand takes back.

I don't think it would work, but I don't have 34" monitors to try this with. I suppose it might be possible if you mounted the arm sideways... but then the arms might just fall off. Also, as a first time buyer of any product like this, the arms don't really allow you to get any position you want. My 28" monitors couldn't sit side by side because I couldn't position the arms as needed. To be honest, I actually just removed the arms and went back to having the monitors on the desk.

The lip on my executive desk tapers and bull nose before reaching the desktop base. This leaves me with only half of the C-Clamp making contact with the desk. Any solution?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, if you can't get enough flat surface area on your desk edge for the clamp, your best bet might be to drill a 1/4" hole on the desktop so you can use the through-hole mounting hardware provided with this product. Hope this helps.

Fresh out of magic here, dude. You may have to do a bit of surgery on your desk. It is hard to say more without seeing a photo of what you're talking about.
On the plus side, this dual gas-spring desk mount is terrific, once you it installed anyway. I have two 30" monitors mounted with mine and the only issue I have is that my desk is relatively light and they can shake a bit because the whole desk is shaking.

You have the option to drill a hole and use the screw-on attachment option instead of using the c-clamp. I am using it that way. It gave me more flexibility to position the base of the mount exactly where I wanted it.

The stands themselves don't shake. They are very solid. But if the desk they are mounted to is not solid, the desk shaking will show up in your screens moving a bit.

BEST ANSWER: The clamp plate on the underside of desk is about 2" x 3-1/4". The base of the stand on top of the desk is about 5-3/4" x 4" (although it's not a rectangle, but a more like an Isosceles Trapezoid with rounded corners, with the narrower edge at the edge of the desk).

Just got mine in today. From back edge of the desk, you're looking at 2.25" (57cm). 2.5" (63.5cm) with a bit of a buffer to be safe. Otherwise, you can always drill a 0.25" hole on the back of the desk and use that mounting method. If you do go that route, you'd need a minimum 2" from the rear of the desk to allow for stability.

I currently have a 34" Ultrawide and a 27" 16:9 and it works great. I feel like there is plenty of movement for 2x 34" Ultrawides but may depend on how much space you actually have to maneuver the arms.

This is exactly the setup I'm working with right now. Could you possibly post a picture of your setup? My 34" currently sits directly in front of me with my 27" to the left of it at a 30 degree angle towards me. Do you think there's enough room in the arms for that setup to work?

BEST ANSWER: Those are quite large monitors and it would be a tight fit. I would be more concerned about the weight of the monitors as a 32" is quite heavy. I wouldn't recommend using the clamp mount. Using the grommet mount would be best.

Unfortunately, no. It is a great mount, but not wide enough for my 34 and 27. I would recommend 2 single arm mounts. The gas springs are more than capable of holding the 34”

BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. It comes with a bracket to mount it to the back of a desk/work surface and another base plate with a bolt for mounting through cable grommets or a hole drilled by installer through the desk/work surface.

Yes it can. Initially I had the arms connected st the back of my desk, but then moved it to fit through the cable gromet hole. The kit does with brackets for both solutions.

What is the max space between monitors when both arms are max extended? I need 15” minimum

BEST ANSWER: You ask a very perplexing question when the dimension and orientation of the monitors are not provided to solve the matter correctly. To note, with the support mount arms, when fully aligned with the edge of the desk, the portion and height on center, of the monitor's mounts, which allow for the height of the monitors from the desktop to be 19½ inches. The support mount arms are approximately placed at a 45-degree angle from the desk surface. The height from the desk surface is approximately 19½ inches and allows for the monitor's mounting points to span 39 inches apart between each mounting bracket, measured on center. However, the gap between the two horizontally-mounted 27-inch Monoprice monitors is just short of the 15 inches (approximately 14½") in this configuration, measured from the edge of each monitor. Of course, if the Monoprice monitors were mounted vertical configuration, the gap would be more considerable between the monitors; if that is preferred.

Also-if I can ask another question. I need 11” clearance from surface of desk to bottom of monitor. Assume monitor is 15” deep - will this apparatus provide for that?

Yes, The distance between the pivoting heads when set at 11" clearance is approx 40". You should be able to configure your monitors to accommodate your configuration.
For clarity - the 11” I need is from surface of desk - to bottom of attached monitor. Here’s what I am trying to accomplish. I utilize my laptop monitor as a 3rd monitor. My goal is to put the laptop between the two mounted monitors. I currently have that set up, but the existing mount will not allow Higher than total 19” (including 15” monitors.) That leaves 4” from surface of desk to bottom of monitor. Consequently, there is a 7” overlap from laptop monitor to the 27” monitors.
Additionally - in order to see laptop monitor between mounted 27” monitors - I need minimum 15” between the two.
Have I confused this further? I can take a photo of that helps. Existing set up is driving me nuts!

Ok i just pushed my 24" monitors as far apart as i can leaving 11" under the monitors and it leaves about 21" in the clear. If you have 27's that'll reduce the clear space by about 2" (depending on brand) so you should still be good with about 19" in the clear. Height-wise you'll be fine. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: When you buy your iMac you have to purchase one specifically with a VESA adapter and not the typical stand. Or some models you can buy after the fact a VESA adapter. Gotta love the Apple way. It just wouldn't look pretty with that one there.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, this should work as long as each of the monitors are within the weight capacity of 19.8 lbs. You might need to adjust the gas spring for best results.

hi got a question.. i will use this on a tempered glass desk. and will use 2 32" tv/monitor that weighs 17 lbs. each totaling of 51 - 52 lbs including the desk mount... will it break the glass? or do i need to distribute stress on glass..

What kind of surface dimensions are needed for mounting? Will it mount onto a vintage oak desk that has a 1 3/4" lip that is almost 1 1/2" thick? Can it attach without drilling holes? Thx!!

BEST ANSWER: Hi, unfortunately the 1 3/4" lip won't be enough to ensure full contact with the base and clamp. At least 2.5 inches would be needed to be able to tighten the hand screw and have the hardware in full contact. The clamp can be installed on up to 3.3" thick desktops. If there's a way to use wood inserts to create a wider area under the desk, for example if there are metal bars in the way, that could increase the available space to clamp on. Otherwise you might need to drill a 1/4" hole to be able to use this clamp with the included through-hole mounting hardware. Thanks.

Works with 35" and 27" monitors
Highly adjustable and it doesn't droop after being set. I appreciate the fact that it's easy to rotate my monitor aspect for coding vice watching a movie.

Almost perfect
They do stick out a bit from the back of the desk which forced me to move it away from the wall an inch or two. Assembly is fairly straight forward and I've had no issues. It looks great and holds the two 27 inch monitors well after adjustments.

These are great used with 2 27" Acer monitors. Easier to set up than I thought they would be, and have been easy to adjust. As others have noted, in order to get both monitors to be side by side, you'll need room behind the desk, and the monitors will be pretty far forward on your desk at that point. Still love the product.

Works great, but depending on your desk setup (especially against a wall) I'd recommend just getting two single arms instead of a double.

Works as expected
As someone used to using commercial grade premium monitors arms at work I was worried these would not be up to the task. But no worries here. The Monoprice arms ended up being easy to set up and configure as I needed them. Running two 27" monitors with no issues. The price on these is a literal steal.

Barely works for 2 34" ultrawide monitors
The size works well for my 2 34" ultrawide monitors. However, I had issues with one of my monitors "drooping" when I tried to get it into the correct position. I had to tighten one of the bolts with all of my strength a couple of times to keep it in place.

Great Monitor Mount
Great dual monitor mount! I was looking for something solid that didn't break the bank, and this delivered. It holds my dual Dell 27" ultrasharp screens perfectly. I did have to tighten the bolt that controls the tilting all the way, and adjust the gas spring pressure quite a few turns (towards the +) but that was expected. Thanks Monoprice!
