We are not seeing NetBoot support from this adapter on the MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) models. However, we do see support on the new MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016). IS this to be expected?

This actually has to do with the EFI BootROM on the computers. Apple was add USB drivers for ethernet to the new BootROMs starting in late 2016, but the older machines only had drivers for the Apple USB 10/100 ethernet adapter.

What does the "(F)" stand for in "Select Series USB-C to 3x USB-A 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet & USB-C (F) Adapter"... USB-C port to power?

BEST ANSWER: It refers to the "female" USB Type C port on the bulky portion of the adapter.
For reference, the USB Type C jack/plug that protrudes from the adapter (and connects to the host device) could also be referred to as a "USB Type C Male".

Will this adapter allow the device to receive 60 watts of power? Also, has anyone tested this cable with the new iPad Pro? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: I could not get mine to charge a 10.5" Samsung tablet. It would say its charging but would die. It did however charge my 8" tablet. Could have been just my device?

BEST ANSWER: Hard to tell. While these are hardware converters and should work in all instances, they might not work. They work for me when plugged directly into the computer. Howver, they did not work with a hub in between.

How well does this support passing power thru to charge a MacBook Pro? I'd like to use it to connect ethernet and charging with one cable.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
You would get up to 60W of power through this adapter even while it is connected to an Ethernet cable.

Can I connect a USB-C to HDMI adapter through the female USB-C port? or is that only to be used for power connections? I currently use my (only) USB-C port for the HDMI adapter, but would also like to have wired Ethernet. If I can move my HDMI adapter to the USB-c port on this device, that would give me both. thanks.

Decent but would like 100watts of power
This did work but I don't like to use it because it does not charge my MacBook Pro well.
I'd really like a device like this with PD3.0 and 100watts capability.

An OK product, but does not work on all use-cases (e.g., Nintendo Switch Lite)
I had bought this to use on my son's Nintendo Switch Lite, but unfortunately I've learned you have to be very careful with "USB-C" adaptors; unlike previous incarnations of "USB", they are not guaranteed to work on all devices that accept "USB-C". This particular one does not work on a Nintendo Switch Lite, which was my original reason for buying it. I then tried it on my Macbook Pro "15,2" running OS 10.14.4 (Mojave) and it does work there, providing GB speeds up/down. However, it does drop the occasional packet (via ping tests), and go offline for periods of ~30-40 seconds every couple of hours. This is fine for most use-cases, but can wreck a Zoom session. I do not know what the connectivity clash is, but note that some other ethernet adaptors do this, as well, while others do not.

Purchased 4/10/19 and used it a few times & just recently started using it more. This used to work... but now it does NOT charge but the ethernet is working.

Ok
The adapter worked in the sense of passing the ethernet connection and charged but not for all devices. I have 2 different tablets, the smaller screened on charged fine the larger would say its charging but apparently does not output enough power to actually do so.

Worked for a mont
I have many ethernet to usbc adapters that have failed; this is one of them. Others are apples (usb; I don't think they sell them anymore) and Anker. Can't someone make one of these that will last?

Failed to work
Bought to use with my MacBook Pro in my office. I have a nice 27 in 4K monitor that I have been directly connecting to my MaxBook by USB-c connection. I connect to my work network using a separate USB-c to Ethernet adapter. I bought the monoprice USB-c/ Ethernet combined adapter so I could cut one connection to the MaxBook Pro. Unfortunately this doesnt work and I am back to just connecting the monitor with one connection and the Ethernet to the single adapter. Disappointed.
